Darius looked up at the creature, then smiled. "You have any idea on how many times that has been said to me? I think I'll be going now, right past you." Darius completely blanked from that area at that moment, for he had taken an alternate route. He had first dove through a bush, then jumped from tree to tree until he was on top, whcih was for some reason very far up. Didn't look this far up from down on the ground. Darius thought. I still want my darn minotaur.Darius continued running on the treetops quickly, steathily, and silently. Like his frineds taught him about the way of the assassin. He was far away from that guardian, he knew becuase no soul was near, also he could see the soul of the guardian mayhaps a mile or two back. HE started breathing a bit heavily, then shortened his pace. ((I know you did that on purpose, just to get rid of me. But, if you do try and kill him, that will just further his story as I make it. He doesn't know who his real father is, and after he passes into the divine realm, he'll know. Giving him a better understanding and also an advancement on his two sword's power. Which I already layed out for him.))

(Lol, sorry, but there will be a purpose to this... I think.) Darishan ran after Elliot swiftly to avoid the creature. They were pulling themselves deeper in now. Though he'd preffer to have a better idea of where they were going, he was more or less at Elliot's mercy with the map at this point. This at least kept him on guard. Who knows where Elliot could be leading us? A secret, but something the school doesn't want us to know...Hmph, you'd think they'd at least tell the students. Then there would be no mystery to draw others in.

(( The creature is a God also. He prefers to take the name as the Forest Guardian. He has only been defeated once, and that was by all the teachers at the School, including the Headmaster. And if Darius dies, his body and soul are taken to the Common Rooms. But the Divine thing sounds a bit interesting... I might make a board on it... ^^ ))

The Guardian sniffed once, then dove into the ground, the hole closing behind him. Evidently he didn't feel up to chasing all the youngins, especially those two who reeked so horribly.
As he ran, Elliot pulled out a large map of the lands. Pointing to the charred center, and making a line with his finger a bit south, he said, "We're almost there. We'll pass over a swamp-like area, then we should get to where it was burned. Ahhhh crap!" He looked down to find his foot stuck in the swamp. He quickly pulled his leg out and jumped back to the side of the swamp. It was moderately large, about as wide as a riven, and the end was out of sight. According to the map, it circled around the charred spot. There were several dead trees spread out within the murky water. "Any ideas on how to pass this?"

Darius saw the two and landed by them, he was tired of floating among the canopy. He had a couple mysterious bugs in his hair, but they flew away once he stopped.
"Well, just to let you know, I won't be following you. I know a way across however. Do you see the gases rising from this swamp?" Darius asked.
"Also, my name is Darius, I am very new here. Though this place has fine hunting. If I didn't like that giant creature back there, I would have thought to slay it and cut out it's fangs and claws."

Elliot scoffed, "You couldn't even inflict damage on the Forest Guardian. It's full-God. You'd die a horribly painful death. It's only been /defeated/ once, and that was by people fifty times stronger that you." Something about Darius bugged him. "And about getting across, I have my own way that has nothing to do with your stupid gas."

"Alright then, I'll be on my way to finding a minotaur...somewhere in here." Darius said.
He started breathing deeply, then leaped into th air and started walking on the gases of he swamp, gliding along.
"Sorry for being helpful!" Darius called back.
As big as this forest is, you'd think there'd be more monsters present. But nooooo, this place seems to be an exception. Darius thought to himself as he walked along above the gases. He'd figured ouot this technique from Zet after they walked the mist, but this was easier. The hot gases of the swamp provided thermals, which in turn would make things rise. Easier to walk on than cold mist.

Darishan looked down at the goopy water, totally ignoring the facct that his partner had just picked a fight with a drow, and that the drow had left as kickly as he came. "A lot of people have died in here," he said. Reaching down and touching the mud, he concentrated for a moment. The surface started to bubble, and dead bodies, some rotted and others preserved by the swap, rose to the surface. It was hard to determine age, but many seemed to be in Elliot and Darishan's area. A bit of a bad omen, he thought. Still, not bothered by it at all, Darishan hopped across the dead bodies like stepping stones.

Darius looked back in surprise as a trail of dead corpses rose from beneath him.
"You're a necromancer? Interesting, either you are or you just like playing with dead bodies. But that for now is none of my business."
Darius continued along.

Elliot shivered, changing into Wolf form. He sprang onto the liquid, and water pulsing but not giving way under his paws. He trotted casually beside Darishan.

"After this swamp, we'll arrive?" Darishan asked. "We should be on our guard then." He continued hopping across the bodies, which sank back into the grime shortly afterwards.

Elliot kept walking, past Darishan, towards the end of the trees. He walked past the last leafy plant- and into the edge of a cliff??? He stared at the cliff. At the bottom, several hundred feet down, fire and large rocks could be made out. He looked across the large canyon. It seemed to stretch across for miles and miles. There appeared to be something bluish at the other side. Something swaying in the wind caught his eye. A cliché rickety bridge. Reverting back to human form, he looked at his companion, "Errr, shall we?

Darius started then to fall into a full run, leaving the two behind in dusty swamp gas. Further ahead he leaped off a tree and then onto the soft clay ground. He heard the rush of water, and then turned invisible once more. If there was water, there was life, and life Darius did see. Right there was a large minotaur, drinking water slowly at a river. Darius saw his chance and completely melded, making no sound, no stench, no seen body part of his to the minotaur. He drew his bow back silently, aiming straight at the major artery pulsing on the minotaur's broad neck.

"It's what we came here for," he said, walking over to the cliche rickety bridge. According the the cliche, it would either fall when they were near to end, or some planks would break and almost kill one of them, but the rest would be fine. Darishan examined the pegs that kept the bridge fastened to this side. They seemed sturdy enough. Keeping his hands on the rope walking on the edges of the wood planks, he cautiously started across. The fire burned below and the smoky air blew back his hair. Note to self: If there was not something really spectacular in this 'burned out' part of the forest, Elliot would be pushed out of the next high window that presented itself.

Darius saw the artery pulse against the minotaur's neck, and that was the mark. He released his grip on the arrow, then silently moved to his next position to throw off the minotaur. Knowing animals was one way to hunt. A minotaur would investigate the area with monotonous crashing of trees, then look in the air a bit, then proceed with his duties. A simple chain. Darius was up in a tree already, already aiming for his next mark.
