Terent's eyes were wide, he helped Sanet get re-situated on the dock with an obvious look of worry on his face, "Lass, ar'ye okay?" he asked worriedly, obviously Sanet had not taken note of the spectres and spirits that lived under the waters and could be seen gracing the surface silently. Of course Sanet had missed that. Terent's quick movements didn't make the cat in his arms any happier but Terent had to help keep his student from dying, he didn't like it too much when people died.
"Please do try tah be a bi' more careful next time." he pleaded, making his way silently to a wooden ramp that went up to the deck of the ship, obviously wishing to get somewhere with a railing so he wouldn't have to worry about Sanet drowning/being dragged underwater by angry spirits.

Sanet shuddered some from the cold, but lifted up her belongings, and followed after Terent, for once in her life, silent. She was now a little aprehensive of the ship, and in her pocket Mr. Twix was very unhappy. A wet, unamused looking ferret poked his head out of his little nook in her pocket and chattered angrily at Sanet. Too preoccupied to quiet him, Sanet walked up the gang plank, one foot in front of the other, carefully balancing. She did NOT want to fall in the water again. Her pants made a sloshing sound when she stepped, and her Keds squished unpleasently. Her shirt clung to her body now, and her hair fell in salty strands, any curvature lost in the weight of the water. To be short, she looked like a drowned rat.

Terent had no way of drying Sanet off and he fealt a bit bad about it, he wished he could help. Since there was nothing he could do he shrugged, "Well, lassie... we 'ave tah get yer li'le schedule rea'y for when ye ge' tah th'Cademy." He nodded and reached into his pocket for a sheet of paper. He intended to write down Sanet's schedule down on the paper as soon as Sanet aggreed to get to work on the schedule.

Sanet sat down on her suitcase. "Well, then let's get started," said Sanet, a little too happy-sounding. She was very nervous, she'd never gone to a real school before and did not know what a 'schedule' entailed. So she sat and waited, her eyes too bright, her movements to perky. She had crossed her legs, and was swinging the top one to and fro, and her smile was feigned. She tried to pretend she knew what she was doing, honest she did, and she had a great poker face, but this wasn't poker. This was the educational system, and Sanet had never before entered it.

"M'kay... Well lass, ye'll 'ave a couple o' mandatory classes tah start off yer day with, those bein' Magic, Weaponry, Alchemy, Beastry, Master Class an' a break period. After tha' ye get some o' the fun classes." Terent nodded, "Ye ge' tah choose these ones... an' if ye 'ave any questions ye can ask any time ye wan'."
"Fer yer seventh class ye can choose either music, potionry or music if tha' suits yer fancy. Eighth period is either 'Oly, Flare or Summonin'... Ninth is either Dragoon, Samurai, or Thievery, though I don' believe Thievery would be needed wi' such a kleptomaniac livin' in yer pocket, bu' that's yer decision. Finally is tenth period, either puppetmaster or survival, whicheve' one ye think ye'd like more." Terent nodded, it was odd how he knew about the ferret in Sanet's pocket, let alone it's 'tendencies' when it comes to other people's belongings. But who knew, Terent was an odd being so perhaps such odd thoughts and moments and revelations came naturally to him.
"Mrakerackerwarrrrrrr..." Smitty croaked as he looked towards Sanet for a moment and then towards the general direction of Twilight Moon Academy, his wings buzzing in some kind of geckodragon-y gesture and he then licked his eyeball before weaving himself hidden underneath Terent's hair and he was gone from sight at the time being. Most people would have a problem with a geckodragon taking up permanent residence on thier head, though Terent seemed to not mind it at all.

Sanet frowned. "Music? History? That hardly seems magical," muttered Sanet in disdain. She would have to think about that one more. "And what is 'flare'? What does that entail? As for the others, Dragoon sounds fun, but I've been a thief in the time before I came here, so both are certainly interesting. Which do you recommend? What does each include? For tenth, as interesting as Puppetmaster sounds, I believe I'm more suited to Survival." So many choices... Dragoon? Thievery? Some choices were hard because all sounded enthralling, while others were hard because all bored her out of her skull. She had no interest in 'Holy', she had never enjoyed the little at-home church services her mother had held on Sunday mornings. Summoning seemed moot to Sanet, seeing she could transform into the things she could summon... but what was Flare?

(GAH! Sorry about being so slow to post, I could have sworn I'd already responded to this, the post must've not gone through! *cuts wrists* it was a good post, too! D: ) The cat in Terent's arms seemed to have calmed down amazingly and Terent pet the fuzzball as Sanet spoke, when she was done speaking Terent briefly stopped petting the cat as he responded, "Flare is tha exact oppisite o' 'Oly magic, i's dark magic an' thin's. An' as far as I can say 'bout Dragoon an' Thievery, if ye'd like a laid back class, ye'd try Thievery since i's somethin' ye can already do, bu' if ye'd like tah learn somethin' new, Dragoon i's thah art o' dragon ridin' an' I can assure ye, there's never a faster wat tah ge' anywhere, an' when ye join thah class, ye ge' yer own dragon as well." Terent nodded, it was a curious thing how he knew anything about dragon riding, considering his dragon didn't seem to be cut out for the job, being the size of a small lizard and all, perhaps some questions were in order, but not now, perhaps later. So far, Terent had a bit of Sanet's schedule written down, he waited to hear what she was yet to choose. 1. Magic 2. Weaponry 3. Alchemy 4. Beastry 5. Master 6. ~Break~ 7. ((Music, Potionry, or Music)) 8. ((Flare, Holy, or Summoning)) 9. ((Dragoon, Samurai, or Thievery)) 10. Survival

Sanet nodded. "I used to read stories about people with dragons... or people slaying dragons. Always hoped the dragon would win, though. I guess I'll take Dragoon, then. And Flare, too. What would I learn about in History? Would it be boring stuff about the United States and the American Revolution, or interesting magical history?" It had suddenly occured to Sanet that History at TMA might not be the History she got from her 'borrowed' text books. As she thought, she quietly marveled at how Terent had calmed Storm down. Storm had always loathed traveling. Squirrel, however, leapt onto Sanet's shoulder and began to bat at her ear with sheathed claws.

"'Istory?" Terent chuckled, "It'll be interestin' considerin' thah 'Istory teacher doesn' 'ave a lick 'o sense tah 'is name." Terent commented on the sanity of the History Teacher, "First day the entire class go' tah 'ear of the Tomato Go'ess and 'ow she created tha world, i's mostly all a fabrication, really." Terent obviously didn't believe a single thing that the History Teacher said... 1. Magic 2. Weaponry 3. Alchemy 4. Beastry 5. Master 6. ~Break~ 7. ((History, Potionry, or Music)) 8. Flare 9. Dragoon 10. Survival

"I need a laugh. I suppose I'll take History. If it's boring, an extra nap won't hurt me," replied Sanet. With a little sigh, she stretched her limbs, causing Squirrel to start and run over to her other shoulder. The kitten stared at the little gecko thing on Terent's head, hissing playfully. Her plumy tail quivered happily, and her copper eyes were bright with excitement. Her little haunches tightened as she prepared to jump, but Sanet grabbed her off her shoulder and sat her down in her lap. "So, what am I supposed to do when I get to the Academy? Any particular place I have to go?" asked Sanet.

Terent recorded the last of his student's class schedule, "Ye can find yeself a dorm room if ye wan' otherwise ye're free tah go wherever ye wish." Terent nodded, handing Sanet the peice of paper with her schedule on it, "We shoul' almost be there, too." Terent looked towards the building that they were quickly approaching, it growing larger and larger in thier sight. "Welcome 'ome, lassie." Terent continued to pet the feline in his arms now, her seemed like such a nice person, and it was amazing that he still hadn't asked Sanet for her name, yet... oh well, if she didn't want to give out the information, Terent was fine with it. ^^

"I'm amazed Storm has sat still this long. Usually, by now he would've been yowling his head off or squirming," noted Sanet as she took the paper. She turned to look at the Academy. It was, well, not quite like anything she'd seen before. She'd never traveled to any part of New York where she might have seen Gothic architecture, and if she had, she would have been to preoccupied to notice. She'd seen them in fairytale books, of course, but seeing one for the first time... her tail began to quiver with excitement, and her ears pricked with curiousity. Her eyes were wide as saucers. A castle.... her home was a CASTLE.

Terent chuckled slightly, "I's just a buildin'. Calm down." Terent obviously didn't see anything too terribly amazing in Twilight Moon Academy, as far as castles or buildings went, TMA was rather average, if not on the smallish side. Oh well, Terent was just used to these sorts of things thanks to his childhood. The little elf man reached into his small leather bag and withdrew a plain white disk that looked like it may have been made of porcelain or something of that sort. "An' like always, I 'ave tah give ye a gift 'pon yer arrival 'ere." He held the rather insignificant little disk out to Sanet, "I' shoul' negate anythin' tha' a 'ealer should ever try tah do t'ye magic-wise."
One could only guess why Terent was giving his student an item that kept healers from healing you, but Terent probably had his reasons for it. Still. Such a gift put Terent on a steady 6 outta 10 on the weirdo-scale. Seriously, it seemed rather useless if you asked anyone, well, anyone except for Terent.

"But.. Mr. Terent.... why wouldn't I want to be healed?" asked Sanet, obviously incredibly confused. "Wouldn't that be a good thing?" Her ears twitched questioningly, and her mouth was in a downward curve commonly known as a frown. Besides the fact it kept good things from happening, it looked like a dinner plate, so it seemed doubly weird to Sanet. Her eye brows raised as she turned it over in her hands, as though the answer might be written on it. Squirrel watched it with fascination, and reached a paw out to bat at it.

"I's no' thah 'ealin' tha' ye wouldn' wan'... i's thah reverse 'ealin'..." Terent nodded in a scholarly manner as the ship neared the shore and in the next few minutes they'd be able to get off and Terent could let loose his student onto the school. He didn't seem to expect his student to know what reverse healing was, but Terent seemed very serious about it and refused to let his student fall victim to such cruelties. Terent didn't seem to care much that there was only but a handful of practitioners of the art, he just wanted to make sure Sanet was well able to defend herself against it. The charm he gave her was one of a kind so the fact that Terent was willing to give up his protection against reverse-healing to someone else was rather nice.
