"I am who I am as much as you give power to who I am by thinking I am who I am," Anpu said in an overcomplicated manner. He intended it to make as little sense as possible while still making some sense in the end. Anpu didn't seem to want to go into too many details about who or what he was, leaving it up to his student to make his own conclusions. The teacher shouted something loud in Arabic once more, and one of the crewmen who weren't rowing fetched a scroll and a quill made out of some sort of bone.
"You're going to need to choose a schedule, now," Anpu said as the crewman handed him the quill and then unfurled the scroll and held it in front of Viktor.
"For the first 6 periods of the day, everyone will have the same schedual: 1: Magic 2: Weaponry 3: Alchemy 4: Beastry 5: Master 6: BREAK
Then comes the optional classes.
For period 7 classes, students choose ONE of the three: Music, History, Potionry
For period 8 classes, students choose ONE of the three: Holy, Flare, Summoning
For period 9 classes, students choose ONE of the three: Dragoon, Samurai, Thievery
For period 10 classes, students choose ONE of the two: Puppetmaster, Survival."

Anubis grimaced slightly when Anpu answered his question in a cryptic riddle. His teachers in magic ALWAYS said things like that. It was as if they had all watched "The Karate Kid" one thousand times and decided to make it a freakin instructional video on teaching. It was almost as annoying as his cousin.
Suddenly Anpu presented Viktor with a quill and showed him his classes. Nodding to his new master, he then checked off for the optional periods... History, Summoning, Samurai, and finally Survival. Satisfied with his choices Anubis handed back the quill to the zombies.
Viktor decided to let the whole " Anpu May be, Possibly, could be, or IS eqypts version of the grim reaper" thing go. Better not to think about that kind of thing...at least not right now. The ship, which Vikor thought they must be in the lowest deck of, lurched forward at a slow pace. It was dark, it was cold, and they had been walking further down for what seemed like hours. Even the private detective known as Anubis had limits to his patience. And so he asked, with the fear and shock replaced with the creepy pleasant smile. "Is there anything else, master Anpu?"

"One more thing," Anpu said in his ghostly voice as he kicked aside some boxes. He grabbed one that seemed to be made of polished wood. At first glance, it appeared to be of onyx, however, that wasn't the case. A black smoke came out of his mask (a corrupted 'breath') that scattered any remaining dust on the nearly flawless item. But of course, the box was not the present.
He opened it up to reveal a pure black jewel. An odd vibe came out of it. Just spontaneously, a sandstorm seemed to kick up inside "This is a special orb from my collection. It summons undead scorpions of mine." Anubis has received:
Orb of the Sandseas The orb is of a pure black, polished color with sandstorms kicking up inside of it every so often. The Orb of the Sandseas can summon up to 10 undead scorpions at once, and can only be used once per battle. These creatures can produce powerful stings on creatures while together and thus prefer to move in a pack. WARNING: Summoning will be tiring at first. Practice to know how to use it wisely to turn the tide of battle.
"Practice before using it, lest you end up tiring yourself out too much," Anpu said from underneath the ersatz voice of the ghostly Anubian mask.

Anubis took the obsidian orb and bounced it twice in his palm. He bowed respectfully bowed to his master "Thank you, I shall make good use of this." He then tapped his cane on the ground twice. Suddenly the wolf's head handle's jaw opened wide, exposing the sharp silver teeth and tounge. The cane had a third function as a storage device for small objects as well as being used as a focus and inhibitor.
Anubis stuck the orb down the wolf's mouth and it immediately snapped shut, a small button on the cane would prop it back up in case it needed to be used. Viktor grinned. "Custom designed. A true work of art aint it?"

"Indeed," Anpu said as he motioned for Viktor to follow him as he ascended up the stairs. Contrary to the original venture down into the depths of the ship, this one seemed much shorter. The boat neared the shore of the Academy, and the crew made preparations quickly to stop the boat and firmly anchor it. Anchors were dropped, ropes were swung, and a gangplank was put across to the beach of the Academy in eerie resemblance of Anpu's arrival. He seemed interested in the full-circle endings.
"If you have any questions, ask them now. I would recommend that you get a dorm room first, as they can fill up fairly quickly," he said in the eerie manner.

Anubis's creepy smile changed into a creepy smirk. "Just one question. Do I get a roomate? and if so can my roomate be of the fairer sex?" Viktor figured what the answer would be. The real reason he asked was to get a reaction out of Anpu. As they walked off the gangplank Anubis was treated to the full view of the illustrioius Twilight Moon Academy.
Viktor whistled. "This place is actually nicer then my parent's house...so where's the dorm rooms."

Anpu sighed, hoping that his student wouldn't think with his lower brain for the entire time he was here, "No. And just head up the stairs, you'll come to it." As Anubis stepped off of the gangplank, Anpu began to walk back, accompanied by the groans of men who had been working non-stop. They suited the ship up for proper sailing again before setting off with great force, leaving Anubis upon the beach.
Upon the deck, one could see Anpu strip himself of his helmet, and mumbling something about how he couldn't breathe in that thing or something of the sort with an annoyed look on his face.

Anubis' smile faded back into its regular, non-chalant, position. The Beast's voice snickered from inside the ring. Told ya itd get a rise out of him. Bet his nose was bleedin and everythin. I guess even gods...or whatever the hell he is...have their moments of...weakness. Anubis smiled as he walked towards the grand tower that Anpu had pointed out. "I do admit it was rather funny." The ring laughed OF COURSE IT WAS! You should really listen to me more often...youd have more fun...instead of being a boring WASP wannabe with a crappy suit...A good start would be to use some of my pickup lines.
Viktor snorted. "Dont insult me, im a gentleman after all. I would never say such things to a lady. Nor would I ask that question where it is not prudent. Now shut up...I want to keep my species a secret for as long as humanly possible." With that the ring silenced and Anubis made his journey up the stairs.
30 minutes and 500 stairs later... Anubis had checked every dorm he could possibly find...and all of them were taken. Exhausted he came to the final room, and opened the door to find that it was empty. It looked nice enough... there were two bedrooms, each with a queen sized bed, each with a personal bathroom. A den with a medium sized television, and a kitchen that smelled faintly of pizza and...brimstone? There were signs of an roomate, but judging by the Vacancy sign on the door there was a bed available. He slamed down on the comfortable looking bed in front of him,
