If I howled at the moon every night, would you think I'm weird?

Orion thought the subjects over. He knew what he was going to pick already, but he decided to ask the question, for good measure, "What does 'involves dragons' mean? Is it just studying dragons or does it involve something more...active?" He felt excited now that he was choosing classes. It felt more real than anything he had ever experienced! All that was left was to enroll and he'd be in school for the first time! His hooves clopped on the ground anxiously.

(Sorry about that, I'm on the ball from this point on, promise.)
Gerard shrugged, spreading his large hands. "Not really sure, it's never been my thing." He looked at Ixchelle, who spoke silently for a few moments. "Apparently you get some real dragons, 'Rion. Or at least, you used to. Management might change some things up."
A certain idea had been bothering the demon, and he looked at Orion's hooves. "You don't get a lot of traction with those, do you? Stone stairways can't be fun."

Orion's cheeks shone red through his white fur. He looked down and remembered the dozens of times he had fallen over unceremoniously in the cathedral. "I...uh...cope," he lied, not liking to appear handicapped, which he had already displayed enough of in the past five minutes. "They really aren't as bad as they look."
Orion shook his head. Hooves and antlers. That's what most people saw on him. Those were his gifts and his curses. He could easily run through a forest or across a grassland, and climb steep hills or even mountains, but he found it difficult to walk in modern dwellings. His antlers were very useful for fighting or defending as well as hanging things up for later use (while no one was looking of course) but they also got in the way more often than not. It also made it difficult walking inside to fit through a small doorway.
"Dragons...hmm. I had a very good friend once who was a dragon. I will have to take dragoon...potionry is in my blood. All forest creatures should know how to brew herbs together for magic. I hate dark magic, so I should take holy I guess. Some of my people used summoning but I am more human than cervidan I sometimes believe. I will take holy. Finally, I will take survival. What's the use in a paladin that can't keep himself alive let alone his allies?" Orion smiled faintly, but his seriousness returned quickly. "Where do we go from here?"

"I could get you some boots?" the large demon asked in a serious tone, though his mouth was twitching at the side in an effort not the smile. It was all he could do not to say 'booties'. They would be so little, something specially made with grips. Ixchelle tilted her head in that was that hinted she'd be rolling her eyes if she still had them, and Gerard went on to his other duties.
Ixchelle spoke to Gerard, and he quickly translated. "She has this orb she wants to give you, to help you if you ever get into battles. And if it's alright with you, 'Rion, she's also asking if she can feel your face. Ixchelle wants to know what you look like."
"Here," he said, regardless of Orion's decision, and threw a smooth glassy ball at the cerv, about the size of someone's fist. "After this we kick you off into the school."

Orion caught the glass ball, and frowned a little. It looked like what diviners on his world used to conjure messages from demons. No, he refused to think that way. He took the ball with trust that it would not be something bad. Then he looked Gerard in the eye to see if he was serious about Ixchelle wanting to touch his face. Unfortunately, both he and Ixchelle seemed far from joking. He gave an embarrassed grimace, and leaned toward Ixchelle, closing his eyes for fear that she would poke him somehow. "Alright," he said shakingly. "But just for a moment. I'm not used to anyone touching me...at all." Suddenly, he drew away before he was close enough for Ixchelle to reach him. "Wait. What do you mean 'boots'? I've never worn anything on my feet...except for the time..." Orion shook his head, trying to forget about the leather straps the priests tied around his hooves. They made him lose his balance even more, as he was not used to feeling so much friction on the stones of the cathedral. He was about to get used to them...when he found out what leather was. "...It's not that I disapprove of other people wearing leather...it's just that I..." He could have sworn he started to turn green. His stomach got sick. "Do you have anything that isn't made out of some kind of animal?"
Orion's posture was not straight, and soon he stumbled backward, hit a rock, and fell face forward toward the big man, probably sandwiching Ixchelle in between. When he fell, he was even more embarrassed, but he somehow didn't care. For some reason, there was something comfortable about being with people he knew would not judge him by such a silly mistake. "I can't tell you how many times this happens to me," he said, and laughed for the first time in ages.

"Now that you mention it, I could see you being a vegetarian," Gerard said, laughing as he steadied Orion. He certainly didn't think anything of it. People tripped. It tended to happen, and it was generally pretty funny. Well, as long as they didn't get hurt or anything. It was a good thing Orion wasn't bothered by other people wearing leather, though, since it was all that Gerard's lacking wardrobe consisted of. Of course, the leather wasn't from any animal, so that might be comforting... kind of...
Ixchelle simply wanted a picture of her student to keep in her head. She had once been able to see, so her imagination could easily fill in what the spacial idea lacked. She reached out and gently touched his face with her fingertips, running them down the contours. The women smiled slightly; he was fuzzy. With a mouthed thank you, Ixchelle withdrew, knowing the whole thing would seem a little odd.
"There is a world of synthetic materials, now. We'll find you something. Here's your schedule, 'Rion, and you can follow that path up to the school. If you need any help, just call."
***Orion received Silvan Orb*** It's a green color, warm to the touch... little golden flecks swirl inside it. Use of this orb will summon the Huaychivo, a legendary Mayan warrior who is part goat and part human. He is like a goat from the waist down, with snowy white fur and hooves, but more resembles a blue tattooed Mayan man from the torso up. Well versed in magic and spear fighting, he will assist Orion for the duration of the battle. Warning: Summoning can be tiring. Practice is encouaged.
***Orion received Schedule*** This might help a little... 1: Magic 2: Weaponry 3: Beastry 4: Masters 5: Break 6: Potionry 7: Holy 8: Dragoon 9: Survival

(Congratulations, Orien, you have passed the Ghost Shipyards with flying colors. Now you may go and frolic about Twilight Moon. Do not worry about classes. They happen now and then, and by now and then I mean maybe one or two a year. Yes. A real life year. This is a very laid back site. But there are many places you can go, students you can make friends with, and teachers that are always happy to lend a hand outside of class.
Don't worry about battles. If you get into one, I'll check it over and make sure you're not godmoding. But I doubt you will. You seem to have it now. Good luck!)
