Estrik accepted the sweep and fell down onto his back, thereby dodging the second kick. He saw his chance and Estrik was going to take it. Sending his mind into a spiral by summoning up the amount of energy needed to accomplish the next attack. Seemingly, the telekinesis literally cut a slab of stone as if it were an extremely sharp knife, illuminating the cut area with an eerie blue aura. The slab now out, grew blue around the sides as it was hurled towards Rei, being as large as Estrik's height minus his weight, but thicker than its own height. If Rei didn't realize it quick enough, then she was going to hurt. Estrik's hand throbbed as the move caused him to revert back to feeling his own hand's pain, something he wished he hadn't done.

From Rei's position- having to recover from the kicks she executed- she just barely had a chance to notice and register what that huge slab of rock flying toward her was. Yep. That was definitely a huge slab of rock. Digging both claws and talons into the hard floor, Rei's muscles bunched and she pulled herself out of the rock's path... but because she had also been distracted by thoughts she couldn't recognize, she hadn't been fast enough. Mid-leap, Rei ended up spinning in the air because the slab had smacked right into one of her legs. She landed, and nothing happened, and then there was pain. From between clenched teeth, an animal-like, screechy growl erupted from the injured girl's throat.
A closer look at Rei's right leg would show a very large, swollen area on her shin near her knee; the sudden pain had caused her to shift back into a human-state. The injury wasn't entirely gruesome or misshapen, but god it was painful.

Estrik got up, slightly panting from the expense of mental energy it had taken to pull off that game of Huge Slab Tag. After he sensed the pain in Rei's leg from his...open mind, he walked over, extending his hand as if nothing had ever happened and he had just didn't thrown a giant rock at her. "So, are d'you want to continue, or should we get that leg," Estrik said stopping in mid-sentence for some strange reason. Checked, his mind continued on, with the thoughts being projected into everyone else's mind. What he thought was that usually her Shinigami-thing came out and about, but it hadn't this time. Maybe the seal had helped after all. "So, this is one of those times where you'll have to register your pain, because otherwise you won't realize the hindrance on your leg that it causes."

Oh, she didn't need to be told to register this pain. Lifting herself onto her elbows so she could look up at Estrik, she took his hand and carefully pulled herself into a standing position; she used the wall she had nearly slammed into, again, for support while her leg was let to hang limp. Rei actually had to think about the question being posed. She didn't want to stop, but knew she really couldn't go on with only one leg. 'Well... if Estrik were... Damon... would I be given the option of stopping because I was hurt?' She then noticed Estrik seemed a bit spent, too... "It'd probably be the smart thing to fix this..." She gestured to her leg, although the reluctance to really stop was very clear in her tone.

Estrik got the int to not stop in her voice, and simply smiled, "No use to kill yourself in training, is it?" he asked with a smile. "We can work more another day, another place, another time. Right now, let's just go and find a teacher or something to heal up your leg and ribs," Estrik said as he put her arm around his shoulders in an attempt to prop Rei up more. "We can keep training later," he said as he began to walk out of the cavern with Rei, with his staff following in a blue light.

Rei nodded in response, focusing on putting as little pressure on her leg as possible. Each step hurt, but she would deal; it wasn't the end of the world. It only took a few steps for Rei to realize that she was very grateful Estrik had made the call to stop. She gratefully accepted the extra support."Thanks you. You're right. We can train again when it heals." Rei thought about what it would be like, right now, before, and later, if she had come to the Academy and not met the people she had. Estrik has already helped her so much, and so had Rhyme. It was good to know she had help if she needed it.

Estrik just nodded as he continued to traverse through the cavern, grateful it had all been just one straight path. Soon enough, however, the light of day cascaded down upon them in an almost Orpheus and Eurydice way, although in this one Rei didn't go back to the cave. He said nothing and continued to carry Rei towards Twilight Moon Academy, stopping every so often to catch his wind and recover physically. "Two days, then we'll train again. Even with magic you'll need some down-time for the leg," Estrik said as he went up the steps of the school.
Later...he dropped Rei at the nurse's office. Lo, how the unsung heroes and heroines do their jobs without praise or gratitude. Estrik simply disappeared, as if he hadn't been there at all once he saw Rei was in good hands.
