Okay, I'm going to start a story. I will write a few paragraphs, and then someone else can write more on it, and someone else can write after that, so on and so forth.
RULES FOR POSTING IN THIS THREAD
*Each post has to be 1 to 5 paragraphs in length. A paragraph counts as three to nine sentences, so one or two-liners between paragraphs or something do not count. *You may only add up to THREE characters per post, and altogether, you may add up to five. *Unlike a roleplay, you may write about other characters that you haven't created doing actions, but please, make it go with the story. EXAMPLE: If a character is known for being antisocial and dark, don't make him/her throw a party for everyone in the city where the main color theme is pink. *Please do not do a mass character killing. *You may only kill two characters in this story, and try not to kill the main characters unless they were headed in the direction of death. *All character thoughts are italicized. EXAMPLE: I wonder where she's going, thought Jane. *Please read over your entries before posting to make sure that proper grammar, spelling, punctuation, and tense is used.
We will add a title to this once the story is finished. Happy posting! ^^

Nine-year-old Hayden sat in the corner of his bedroom, a blanket pulled over his soft blonde hair and his brilliant blue eyes shut tight.
His parents and his sixteen-year-old sister hadn't come back, and the house was getting colder. The electricity had been off for a few hours now, so the whole house was dark. The snow was falling faster outside and the wind was howling. Hayden had grabbed three flashlights, his glow-in-the-dark watch, three blankets, and his orange stuffed bear, Rufus. All of these things were pushed into a corner and surrounded the blanket where Hayden now hid beneath. He also had a box of crackers from downstairs.
All he could do now was wait. Hayden bit the corner off another cracker and then let Rufus have a bite. "Are you cold too, Rufus?" whispered Hayden. He pulled Rufus's sweatshirt that Hayden's mother had knitted farther down over the bear's stomach.
Suddenly, Hayden heard a car door slam. He gasped in surprise and jumped up, spilling the crackers all over the place and flinging the blanket off. Hayden ran to his bedroom window to look outside. He could see headlights, headlights that were close to the ground, meaning that there was a small car parked outside. It must have been Natalie, his older sister, for she had taken the car and his parents had taken the truck. But then Hayden realized that the car was parked in the street. This was odd, as Natalie always parked in the drivew-
A figure in a trench coat stepped out. Hayden could tell it was a trench coat because the person seemed to be.. glowing slightly. Natalie doesn't have a trench coat... and she doesn't glow... thought Hayden. Then the person looked up and stared straight into Hayden's eyes with a pair of its own, flaming red in color.
