I was thinking that it could add a new complexity to plot fights or animal challanges and such. Each area would have an element that is aligns with and that type of magic is stronger or certain ones are weaker. And you can have some really are ones...like in certain areas shape shifting is stronger, or bard magic, or pure elementasts or healers.
the easy ones are
Light Forest: Increase to light based magics, healing, shapeshifting///Decrease to Darkness based magics, curses, and poison
This can be played a around with a lot, and all it takes is a small change to place descriptions.

For ninjas - an increase in Naut'Shinder Village and the two forests, and a decrease in the Field of Miracles, the Moonlit Garden, and the Vigilante Hideaway. At least, in my humble opinion. A boost in the places they can hide and use stealth, and a decrease in the open, spacious areas.

That's a kewl idea... The Light Forest is named such because the creatures within it are light-elemental though. Most of the places on TMA hold specific element-opponents. Like the Grotto is water, Dark Forest is dark (lol really?!), Light forest is light, etc. But that's interesting, if you can give me more examples im sure i can put that in :]
