((Alright, for all ya, this is a Medieval Fantasy-based roleplay. So, if you've got modern weapons, that's a no-no. Understand? Good, hopefully you do. )) Twilight dusk broke over the mythical trees of Cralenwood, a place familiar and unfamiliar at the same time for the trees themselves moved when they pleased. The ground quakes as plates are shifted underneath, and the ever-changing atmosphere of the becoming stars started to appear, giving majestic white light entry onto the face of the holy forest. The wood nymphs started to appear as their green little lights floated around in an endless dance of harmony and peace, their soft giggles echoeing through the air like children at play. Ents herded the woodland animals into their restful beds while the dusk settled to night, and the meadow started to reveal itself. The meadow of Cralenwood was special in its ownself, for, its grasses lit up from the fireflies and blue glowing mushrooms all on its face. The stars seemed to be lower while in the meadow, and the moon seemed to be dwarfed. Farenliral Glade was this meadow's name, given by the elves to this realm, moon elves. The lush grass swayed in the slight breeze in this grand meadow that could be seen from a mile away, its curving arc in elevation easily seen, and its cooling aura easily felt. However, something out of place stalked this meadow as it meandered toward the city of Vale. Something known well by the moon elves of Farenliral, something known well by most anybody. A lone Drow, weaponless, waltzed gracefully upon the meadow's delicate face as the stars seemed to flow with it. Wood nymphs came up close then flew away, coy and shy as always; while deer approached without any caution and simply stared. The mushrooms on the meadow seemed to glow brighter whenever the drow was near them, but the fireflies shyed away as such the nymphs did. The drow itself was out of the ordinary, which may explain his remarkable appearance in such a place. However, Darius Darkstalker was never unremarkable in the first place. A full cuirass of black dragon hide armor, scaled and overlapped to protect him, was strapped to his chest in a drowish way, crisscrossing the ties and unlooping knots. His arms were covered by the same, save upon his right forearm was a plate of mithril metal he used for battle tactics. His pants the same as the cuirass, and his boots, spiked on top for damage, were made of the same material as well. He came to this meadow for one reason, and one reason alone. He had an appointment. ((Please, nobody interact with Darius yet. ))

Akira hung from a tree, her long, slender legs looped over a branch as she watched Darius, honestly unsuprised to be honest. Her skin was like moonlight itself and her face looks quirkily odd from the fact it was illuminated strangely due to her high cheekbones and the several sources of eerie light about her. Her cleavage showed due to the fact gravity was pulling them to her face and higher on her chest and her hands were clasped on the tree branch as if she didn't trust her own legs to hold her feminine frame up from the ground. Akira heald no weapons with her since it was best not to seem dangerous to strangers and she was able to summon the Ketsuiki and the Ame whenever she needed them. Darius was everywhere yet nowhere when you needed him which was kind of getting old for Akira, she wore a bored expression on her face as she looked up at the person perched on the branch.
The man looked down towards Akira with a smile, his face gentle but not weak, his dark brown hair feathery and tipped with silver, his amber eyes glimmered with strong magic and long horns protruded from the back of his head, slightly reminiscent of deer's horns. He was clad in deep dark purple that was almost impossible to define from pure black and his bare feet were firm on the tree bark, he yawned slightly. He carried a katana at his waist with a long blade, unbreakable by mortal weapons and the handguard shimmered black as midnight and the same metal laced over the hilt, a steely pearl placed firmly on the pommel.
"Makashi..." Akira said, before her voice drifted off- she deemed the thought worthless before she could finish uttering it. It was actually quite funny though rediculous. Makashi never had a habit of hanging out in trees- it was kind of contagious and it spread quickly from Akira.
Makashi slipped from the tree, silently landing on the ground and he leaned against the trunk of the tree, he was now at eye level with Akira whom had made the odd decision to hand upside down which was completely besides the point. "So we're just going to watch?" he asked Akira as he laid his head against the bark, the horns made the faintest clack against it and the tree groaned from it's heartwood in response, "And the tree isn't too fond of our presense... he's a little unhappy of our rude arrival." he added, patting the tree as if to say sorry- yes, he didn't want to hurt the tree's feelings.
"err... first thing- yes we're watching, it's the best way to learn things and secondly, heheh nevermind!" she scratched the back of her head as she silently observed Darius in the feild. She fealt like she was watching some creature she was going to sketch into her notebook, on that thought she pulled the book from her back pocket and began etching the design of Darius' face in portrait with fire magic, burning the image onto the paper. She kept many faces logged here but she never actually added Darius to the large group. She had unimportant people such as shopkeepers, showmen, and hunters- Makashi of course was featured several times. A firefly was the source of light for the image, placed a few inches from his right eye, flashing brighter than most normal fireflies and looked to be a small lantern.

((IN this, I introduce Darius' wife.))
Darius stopped as a smile crept onto his face, a small breeze of wind blowing past him as he was no longer alone.
A moon elf stood next to Darius, facing the opposite direction of what he was. Her gentle eyes accented by the blue glow of the mushrooms to make her appear even more beautiful than she already was. She wore light clothes, a silk shirt covered her chest and torso, and light leggings of silk held up by a belt of vines. Her hair, black, flowed down past her shoulders and accented her purplish skin which was also lighter, because of the mushrooms. At her hip rested a long, thin blade that seemed to match her beauty, carvings of wines and leaves all the way down its thin blade face, and a hilt made of fine diamond accentuated with a emerald pommel stone.
"It's good to see you again...Darius."
"Same to you...Auril."
"How have you been?"
"As well as I hope you have, my love."
"Then, I know," Auril giggled.
"Ahhh, that laugh. I have travelled many a day to hear it and see your face. I have travelled many a day to marvel at your intelligence, Maiden of the Moon."
"And I have been waiting for you, to hear your words, to seek your loving eyes, Emperor of the Stars."
"Then let us dance this night, Auril."
"Yes, we shall."
The conversation ended between the two lovers as both disappeared out of sight, an incredible spectacle. As the two appeared again, they were locked in blades. Darius with Darkfire now, and Auril Moonweaver with her thin blade called, Liran. Both smiled with passion as Darius struck first, his blade easily blocked by Auril as she too struck and was block easily by Darius. The two lovers were as good as each other. They continued with locking their blades, sparks flying up into the air as suddenly, both pushed off from the lock and seemed to have jumped off of nothing but the air as the two locked blades in mid-air. It coninuted aain, as both jumped then jumped off of plain air to arrive higher in the air. Visible energy sparked between the two as they rose higher and higher, then, they stopped. Nearly fifty feet in the air both stopped and dropped as they landed softly, without a sound, upon the grassy ground. Darius came forward as he dropped Darkfire as did Auril, dropping Liran. THey came into an embrace and it seemed as if the two would not let go of each other.

((Li-Wa: Is is bad that I actually found myself gagging at that... it sounded so... so... CORNY! Sorry Dain.. I didn't expect this from you, HAHA! You make me laugh now, is this a joke? Please tell me it is! Oh geezus christ! XD You posted the word giggle! GIGGLE!! Yeah, you mention intelligence, well nothing that giggles in a moment when they obviously love (rotflmao) each other and giggling the way you typed it made it sound like a flirtatious giggle.. when it's so obvious they love each other it's just not exactly how I like to show intelligence in my characters, not at all. I laugh now, I'm sorry... but I laugh.))
"This... is a very odd couple." Akira said, as she watched, her facial expression a confused one- everyone had someone else out there for them though... and apparently tjis was Darius' someone, she was awefully pretty which was a high compliment coming from a kitsune.
"Darius is as he is, and Auril is as she is, and we are as we are supposed to be." Makashi said, his hand fondling a few strands of Akira's raven hair, gently twirling it between his fingers.
"But it's Darius.. I mean-" she stopped, glancing over at Makashi, "Oh... bad moment?" she asked, realizing that it wasn't exactly the time for debates and it was quite rude to debate about someone when you altogether had no right.
"just a little bit." Makashi said with a slight laugh as he leaned foreward and lightly kissed Akira's lips. Akira was Akira, she is as she is and her odd, quirky personality was one of the things Makashi adored about her.
Akira kissed Makashi back, her eyes fluttered lightly, dark spots entering her vision- from the kiss perhaps... or maybe it was... she fell from the tree, dizzily standing up as her vision cleared. Too much blood flowing to the head.
Makashi helped Akira stand, one of his firm arms wrapped around her waist as the two stood there, curiously awaiting to see what was to happen next in the feild, to be honest they both wanted to meet this Auril who had to be a special person to gain Darius' affection. Akira's head rested on Makashi's chest, listening to his heart beat, her eyes gently closed and her arms looped over Makashi's neck. "Th-thump th-thump th-thump" it whispered like a lullaby into her large fox ear that listened to the beating heart within Makashi's chest.
Makashi looked down towards Akira who seemed to have fallen asleep, as Ryu-Ji he had become known for his wrath, but as Makashi he was known for his gentle care for this kitsune. Here on this plain he chose to go without the granduers of royalty that he could have easily chosen- but then he would have a court and duties to fulfill and to be honest he was never quite happy with all the settings that came with a royal life, this little kitsune was treasure enough for him.
(Oh, Dain... just tell us when we're allowed to talk to ya! Haha!Yeah... now I'm starting to sound corny... I guess you need to know backstory to understand everything I type so that it doesn't sound half as bad... Akira: Liz, just shut up! Makashi: *is just glad to actually be RPed for once* Li-Wa: heheh... yeah... sorry 'bout that Makashi... *sweatdrop*)

((I meant to make it corny, Liz. -crosses arms and glares- ))
As suddenly as Auril had appeared, she vanished into thin air. Darius bowed his head as he stopped the flow of magic coming from his mind, and dropped backwards to lay down. THis was the only place he could be reminded of his lost love and wife, and his children. THey had all been slaughtered by some sort of group that unfortunately, even Darius didn't know of. A long drawn sigh escaped his lips as he looked up the the stars.
He sighted the constellations he most treasured, Ursa Major, Orion's Belt, and Saggitarrius. The stars were in so close upon that meadow, it was as if you could touch the stars and move them any which way you wanted. Darius could do that, though, he'd rather let the stars stay as the stars were. Artifical appearances were never as good as the original, and at that, Darius gihed once more.
If only I could die and be with you once more, but on the other hand, I cannot let myself die. I know there is someone out there in my family that could have escaped. Had to have escaped...
Darius' ears pricked up as he heard a soft thud, almost unnoticeable sound, in the forest. He rolled his eyes and without looking nor blinking, announced something.
"Akira, Makashi. You can stop hiding now, you rabbits."

(Li-Wa: *stupid smile* heheh.. err... *runs over to her computer where she belongs*)
Makashi scooped Akira into his arms and began walking towards Darius, an eyebrow raised, "Who was that Auril?" he asked as Akira shifted slightly in his grasp.
Akira roused slightly but she simply decided to just drift back to sleep again, like the fox demon she was she nuzzled Makashi, her face began burrowing it's way in Makashi's shoulder a light snore came from her that sounded somewhat as if someone had fused a dove's coo with a kitten's purr. Believe it or not, Makashi and Akira didn't get all that much sleep nowadays, Makashi could go without it but Akira was only mortal and still needed it every once in a while.

((Ooh, sorry. I failed to see "Darius" in your post. >.> Me and my wits...))
"Frankly, Makashi, it's none of your business. It was simply an illusion I created to remind myself." Darius retored in a sharp, matter-of-fact tone. He chuckled when Akira did some sort of snore that didn't seem...normal. It intrigued him as he wondered what the hell kind of sound it was.
"Wait...well. That was my wife. Was. She and my daughter, and my sons were slaughtered long ago. This meadow remembers us, notice the mushrooms around me? They glow, despite the ones around you, which are dim. The meadow is...special...," Darius trailed off.
He sat himself up and helped himself up with his hands as he stood up silently, as to not wake Akira.
"How have you two been faring?" He whispered.

"Overall we're okay but the travelling is hard for Akira, we can't stay anywhere too long due to the... complications." He said, reffering to the wanted posters that seemed to be appearing everywhere and making it harder and harder for them to avoid a conflict. "It's peaceful here, probably why Akira's finally able to get some sleep. I'm sorry for your loss." He said, not really sure what to say, it was hard to imagine what it might be like to have your family dead.
Akira shifted slightly, her ears twitched a little bit and her tails came up and wrapped around her body and into Makashi's face. Under her eyelids her eyes moved as if to look about her, she let a tired whimper utter from her lips as she most likely spoke in her dream and the fox ears atop her head seemed to have a mind of thier own as they moved this way and that to catch unheard sounds and voices.
Makashi moved Akira's tails just a little bit to get them out of his face, the moment his hand left them though, they were back in his face. He let them be for now, even though it was harder to see everything with fur obscuring your vision.

"Heheheh...looks like you have more complications," Darius laughed silently.
He slowly looked up at the stars and sighed as he too, remembered the wanted posters. He had a bounty hunter tailing him for quite a while until he ran into a wire and decapitated himself while running. Darius absolutely had NOTHING to do with that, even with his soon after shifty eyed expression. Though, he was glad he was in this meadow. It reminded him and motivated him at the same time. He was relaxed for the first time in a while.

Makashi tried again to move the tails again, this time he tucked them between Akira and himself, it was hard to move the tails via. wind manipulation while trying to let Akira sleep. He was obviously unable to use his hands since he had to keep Akira from falling, a slight breeze pushed aside a few hairs from her face. "We'll manage." He said with a laugh. "I'm just glad Akira's able to get some sleep when she isn't plagued by the nightmares she continues to have, it worries me to be honest." it was funny how he used to be completely unphased by many of the world's dangers untill now when he knew Akira and the dreams of another could seem like one of the most threatening things he'd ever encountered.

"I usually don't sleep, it's a hindrance. Though, I don't have nightmares." The mass murdering Drow answered back, rubbing the back of his head in a honest way.
Darius walked over to Darkfire on the ground as he tapped it and the fell apart then disappeared out of sight. Darius had found a new way to store his weapons where they wouldn't restrict his movement. He went over on the easment of the hill and sat down, drumming his fingers on the ground as he began his train of thought once more.
"Nightmares, Akira? Hmmmm....have you tried some herbs? Last time she slept near me, she kept kicking my head, trying to run away with something with all four legs, damn her. You could try entering her subconcious and figuring out what the matter is, or, you could always wait for her to tell you. The second option is longer."
His fingers continued drumming on the ground as the mushrooms around Darius glowed even more so, used to his touch on the ground. This meadow knew him well...more so than most.

"Herbs, I'll remember that. Thanks I guess..." Though it wasn't the nightmares itself that was worrying, it was more so that once she entered the nightmares she couldn't be wakened by means of magic or anything else that was tried. She would also wake more tired than when she was when she first fell asleep though the fact that some magic may be causing these nightmares never seemed to occur to Makashi, oddly enough.
