Nomad’s Touch
The Nomad’s Touch is an ability that Kyr himself has never fully put into effect. Using this ability, his hands glow a distinctive hue of blue. Instantly, sand, loose objects, metal, etc. are sucked in toward him and thrown together to create a motley suit of armor that is as effective at moving as a second skin and almost unbreakable. However, the Touch comes after this, as the sand and metal in the armor act as a large magnet that can attract or repeal people or objects with deadly efficiency. As well as magnetism, his natural strength and speed are increased.
Despite the efficiency of the move "Nomad’s Touch", it takes an incredible toll on the body mentally, magically, and physically to perform. Because of the large amount of energy required to perform this move, Kyr can only use it for a very short time before having to revert back to a normal form and accept the consequences of the move.

Di Asaq
The Di Asaq are a pair of hook swords passed down from the first-born males of the nomadic Asaq tribe. The handle on each of the swords is covered in black leather, and is the only part of the weapon not sharpened. Extending from the front of each sword adjacent to the handle is a crescent-moon shape that acts to be used as another blade on the sword and to protect the hands. On the bottom of each hook sword, below the grip, is a simple straight blade. On the top of the blade is the titular ‘hook’ of the hook sword. Aside from the black leather, the blade on each is painstakingly polished; however, it does show wear and tear from use and from the constant sandstorms of the Naithir Desert.
It has no enchantments, although it does help Kyr to channel elemental abilities.

Naithir Ka
The Naithir Ka, or the Life Force of the Desert loosely translated, is a medium sized backpack-like sack full of sand from the Naithir Desert. It is obviously very worn and old and is made of callous, sand colored leather. Despite its appearances, the bag is very sturdy and, despite it looks, does not seem likely to break.
The Naithir Ka acts simply as a holder for the sand. Kyr can more easily and fluidly manipulate the sand from his home desert as opposed to any other sand or earth.
{Physical Description}
Kyr is about five foot ten and weighs 130 pounds of lean muscle. Because of the cruel conditions he lives in, there is hardly a trace of fat to be found on his body. His deep, brown hair can easily be mistaken for black and extends down to the middle of his forehead and past his ears. His eyes are almost the same exact hue as his hair, only slightly lighter, so the illusion of being pure black is not so pronounced. As one could expect from living in and around a desert, Kyr’s skin has a dark olive complexion.
His usual garb consists of a t-shirt and pants that are reminiscent of cargo pants. They are tucked into a pair of black, rugged boots that are almost too big for him to wear. They are specially designed with a special series of ridges to be able to more easily grip loose terrain, such as sand. Atop of that is a sand colored cloak that drapes over his entire body down to the tops of his boots. Its collar reaches up to his nose. He also wears a breathable cloth around his head and face, and when coupled with his worn out crowbar style goggles, can protect his entire face from some elements of a sandstorm. Aside from the tinted lenses of the goggles, Kyr’s clothing is very monotonous in its choice of sandy colors.

Even before the Empires of the East had begun their march toward fame and glory, the desert had created its own people that could brave the harsh conditions. One of these tribes, the Asaq tribe, had made its living through hunting and gathering along the outskirts and shipping goods across the Naithir Desert. Generations and generations after the Asaq tribe began, Kyr was born. He was a rushed delivery, as many of the caravan’s men were taking shelter from one of the regions infamous sandstorms as he was being born. But, the family and the caravan got through the ordeal with one more member, and Kyr Asaq, II, now had his own first born son.
Because Kyr was the firstborn son in his particular branch of the Asaq family tree, he was a recipient to many more perks than his later siblings would have access to. For one, Kyr was trained by his father to use the ‘Di Asaq’ hook swords that were passed down from generation to generation of the Asaq tribe. He was also taught how to ride the Groudo, the large boar-like creatures used to carry the caravan’s goods from place to place, as well as the finer points of survival in the desert and business with its inhabitants. While the younger siblings certainly were taught the necessary aspects of the aforementioned, they were not taught with the same intensity and specificity as Kyr was.
Upon Kyr’s thirteenth birthday, the ‘Di Asaq’ swords were officially handed down from his father to him. But after the minor celebration, Kyr was sent off alone into the desert to survive for thirty days and thirty nights in order to fully become a man in the Asaq tribe. At first, Kyr was exceptional at finding water underneath the sand and the nourishment the desert beetles provided, but this did not continue throughout the rest of his stay in the desert. After finding shelter from a sandstorm inside of a makeshift cave in the sand, Kyr was bitten by a snake. He could not remember which kind, but only remembered that he could not move an inch, which would prove fatal to any survivalist.
Eventually, Kyr blacked out from the lack of water, but awoke to find himself in his camp, standing up, and talking to others, as if he had survived the ordeal. The other men in his caravan told him that he had survived and had made his way back to camp looking as healthy as ever. Kyr kept the events previous to his return to the tribe, in fear of what repercussions it might incur. But regardless, after that day he felt a strange new kinship with the desert, and could swear he could hear it whisper to him in the silent darkness. As well as these newfound traits, he found that he could manipulate the sand around him to do various things.
At the age of fifteen, he finally told his father about the new abilities, after having them for two years. His father knew himself of magic, but only through stories of the Empires of the East, because magic was not a trait in the bloodlines of any of the desert tribes. He saw the opportunity his son had to better himself from the life of a simpler caravan trader, and so he raised money for transporting his son to a school where he could better improve himself: Twilight Moon Academy.
After a shipment had brought them to the edge of the Naithir Desert, Kyr began hopping on and off trade convoys that brought him over the High Mountains that had served as the border of his world, past the Eastern Empires and their technology, magic, and dragons, and through to the smaller settlements of the Far East. There, his journey alone commenced through conditions settings quite different than what the Naithir Desert offered. Regardless, he did as any Asaq man would do: adapt—adapt to the new conditions and survive. And soon enough, through thick and thin, through the wind, rain, sleet, snow, hail, and thunder he arrived at a misty dock, where his father had told him to wait. And so he did.

The Naithir Desert is the land’s harshest landscape for life, human or not, to survive in. Temperatures can easily reach 120 degrees during the peak of the day, but can drop to -20 degrees at night. Sandstorms are a constant threat to the few tribes of nomads who have adapted to the unforgiving conditions. The desert stretches to the Aeyr Sea in the west to the High Mountains and their empires in the east, making it one of the largest natural landscapes in the world. There are small settlements that dot up along the sea, but only one substantial city in the Naithir Desert, Tasim, which acts as a capital to the wasteland and as a primary trade center for denizens and nomads alike.
