Name- Irs Morgan {Her given name, Ebony, roughly translates to ‘dark strength‘, but Irs didn't want it. She changed her name as soon as she could understand most things around her. I mean, what the hell name is that? Something simple and with no meaning was more of what she wanted, so she changed it to the first thing that came to mind; Irs.}
Age- 16
Date of Birth- December 8th
Homelands- Off the coast of long island, though no one in the family could point you to where it was, except the four elders who live there permanently. Once the occupants are ready, or want, to leave, they are escorted off their home in a boat, with a blindfold, and special earplugs that contain the slightest bit of silver. Since their hearing is super-human, the silver damages it enough so the hearing is absolutely gone until they're taken out and healed a bit. This ensures that traitors don't come back, and so their minds can't be prodded for information.(The family is very secretive and, quite frankly, afraid of everyone, for they want the survival of the family) But, they can say what it looks like. There is a constant cloud over this island-there is a witch in the family, who passes it down to the next-, so the vampires can function regularly without the fear of sunlight. The land is extremely hilly, but they're not at a high altitude, so you could probably see all of the hills from one point. The houses are meant for temporary stays, since most vampires only stay until they're sixteen to twenty five, though some stay to become a replacement elder.(it's rare)
There are docks at six points of the island, for boats that only the elders may use monthly. See, to survive without killing humans, they simply made arrangements with the nearest dock to bring blood from blood banks. They pick it up on the first day of every month, under cover of fog(witch induced) and bring it back until next month, where they dump the used bags and pick up a whole new set.

Final- Dissapearing illusion- Instead of transforming into an animal or other homosapian(dead or alive), she'll be able to change into the scenery around her, completely blending in. Then the darkness-shadows, absense of light, etc-will merge with her body, though she'll still be unseen. From this point on, Irs will be concious, but it's a bit of an outer-body experience. She can control herself, but it seems like the actions are being put in her head and she is simple agreeing with them. With the darkness cloak surrounding her, she can manipulate it to an extrodinary extent. A hand, maybe; the fact of being visible or not is comepletely up to her, though. Usually she likes the sneak attack. But the consequences of using this technique are dire; she must be willing to sacrifice a large amount of blood. If she decides for it, her blood will begin to seep through he skin(visible), only to seemingly consume her body. Thus creating the disappearing act.

These are extremely light weight, made of silver. Each end of the three-inch needle is sharp, in order for a quick draw and throw, instead of having to feel or look for the proper side to grab. They’re not just your ordinary needles, though. The one who created these, her father, crafted them in such a way that they form to the shape of the case they’re carried in, and only harden when taken out.
Irs doesn’t use them often in battle, but practices with them whenever she can.

This is a tattoo located in the exact center of each members' neck. It is in the shape of a star, but extra curves and designs circle around it to create something with more volume. It's named Snake Holder because when this symbol is put into motion, it changes its appearance to that of a snake, 'holding' the host with pain. The tattoo itself looks as if it crawls from the neck, then curves its way to both wrists and ankles. Where it meets these endpoints, it becomes a snake head and a bracelet tattoo-it's vine-like-appears from the skin. The only way that this action can take place is if the host does not feed for an allotted amount of time, which differs depending on age and encounters. If, for some reason, the need for blood is not satisfied in time(again, depending on age and encounters), then the curse will take full affect; the beast hibernating within their body will awaken, creating a completely different person then the host(or a stronger version {I.g if this host has anger problems, the beast will have this threefold, embracing it}) Some, take Irs for example, haven't experienced this yet in their lives, but most likely will.
This curse was put on her family because of what their ancestors committed early in the 9th century, though Irs, her grandparents, and their grandparents don't know the exact crime they committed. The act was sealed away in history, not being recorded in any books, journals, memories. People witnessing it forgot, on account of the shock of it, and others didn't want anyone knowing, so it's lost to history. Sure, many rumors and, possibly, true stories have come from everywhere, but no one can separate what's true from what's myth, legend.
It's said that the ritual to punish this ancestry was unmatchable, but before s/he was taken, they made sure the family would continue. Thus, it did. With Irs's ancestor, Caroline, who was only the third vampire in her line created.

She found her natural-born color of hair to be awfully dull at about the age of six, wondering, at the time, if she could ever change it to black. So, at the age of eight, she figured out that people can dye hair; she dyed it black. Ever since, she's been re-dying it, as her hair grows in, for it grows at a quick pace. Sometimes, she likes to put different wacky colors in her hair, just freak people out or to just make them turn their heads. Irs has never really showed her hair being a mess, for she has an obsession of having it slick and clean, while not appearing to be OCD. Since its long, its harder to manage, but she lives with it. Her hair is usually pulled back in a long ponytail, because she loves to show off her dark green eyes. What makes them even more hypnotic is the fact that they look almost chipped, having a few pieces missing. The sides of them are 'burned' black, better to match the darkness of them. Some people fall into her trap of illusion from her eyes. It comes with the vampire thing, along with mind tricks. Pretty much all of her facial features are long, but not pointed in a 'witch'(witch meaning...old tail of them having warts on their nose and so on..) kind of way. Combined together, she looks fun and cute. People find her to almost never smile; she is a bitter girl.
Irs's clothes consist of revealing outfits that better the shifting process, and she just thinks she has a figure. No, she knows it. Tank tops, short shorts, flip-flops; anything that is showy. Her favorite color would have to be red, though she didn’t think for one minute that it tied to be a vampire and drinking blood…she was just always intrigued by it. Most of her clothing is red, black, green, blue, brown, Irs likes it all. Except pink, because she refuses to be like that girl next door, with pig-tails and a mini skirt(she wears shorts, but not skirts). Although, in bed, she wears anything that touches the floor, anything extremely baggy. It’s comfortable, and at the same time she can strip it off in three seconds in case of an abnormal emergency.
Irs is just shy of six feet, a running trait in her family. The men-from five foot one to five foot five-, for the most part, pale in comparison in size to the women-from five foot ten up to six foot three. Irs is actually considered average, which is odd looking at the rest of society. She adores her height, but doesn’t use it against people on purpose, because she doesn’t need to.

They married quickly after, for they knew Evangeline, mother, was pregnant with her first child. Thus, Irs was born-1991. Another child, Fyen, was born four years after her sister.
Naturally, since Evangeline and Devillo were vampires, so were their two daughters. Irs's flower blossomed when she turned eight, quite young and Fyen blossomed even younger; at the age of six. They were almost equally matched in power, but Irs beat her by strength, height, and smarts. Fyen had the potential to beat Irs when she got older, but she was squeamish and shy. Irs dominated over her.
The two girls were also marked by the family curse. Of the snake. Fyen was the first to find out what the curse did to the body if a vampire did not drink blood. The tattoos came and spread their pain(look at ’Snake Holder’ for description). Irs’s time hasn’t come yet. Irs had the unpleasant experience of seeing her parents go through the blood lose once. It's haunted her through the years, and she won't speak a word of it.
Her parents decided to eventually return to the island of the elders-before Irs was born- so they could watch their children grow up. Irs was the one always creating trouble for the couple, finding more and more ways to challenge authority. They were creative, too. Like most children, she tested her limits, but in such a way that it was almost to the point that she could be punished on an adult level. At a very young age, she decided authority and rules were overrated, not paying mind to it. Since she was but seven, there was no serious punishment, like jail, that could be set upon her.
So they waited.
Once she was, by law, able to know what her actions would cause her and what she was doing, she was punished. In this society, she was only eleven. It was obvious that at seven, she knew just a bit less than she did at eleven, but laws were laws. They couldn’t have put her under serious punishment at this young age, because the ones living on the island might see it as cruel or ‘against morals’, if any of them had any. The elders had kept a close eye over Irs for many years, not intervening unless Evangeline and Devillo seemed unable to ‘control’ Irs, in a sense. They came to the conclusion that she couldn’t return to the island once she left. If she ever had children, they would be sent to their home for at least sixteen years, and of they wanted to leave, they could.
The only reason she wasn’t kill immediately was because of her age. True, they could have waited until she grew old enough to set the punishment for adults. But they figured she would smarten up and become the child that all of them wanted her to be. And she did just that, about two years later. Her normal ‘juvenile’ actions spaced farther and farther apart until she started going completely nice.
And without proof, she couldn’t be punished. Her age was the main factor in her innocence, which the elders resented, but couldn’t ignore.
At sixteen(the least amount of time permitted to stay) Irs, obviously to her, she left. It was not long after that that she applied for Twilight academy.
