Demons live, and thier power seems to grow during times of darkness to block out the light. The power of the River Styx has been passed down through Water Nymph blood to fellow student Suzume Itou and the tide rises and threatens to wash all she was away as it swells past it's banks in her soul. The power of Lucifer follows now inside her and her mind is clouded from the swirling dark that has invaded her thoughts as she travels ever closer to Twilight Moon Academy to eliminate all traces of the weakness she once heald so close, all of it has to be gone.
Upon her arrival she has orders to carry out and chaos to bring with her and plant it into the soil which from love and friendship grow so that such things will be nevermore before she is allowed to finally rid all traces of her former self.
The First Cutscene of the Plot
Suzume looked up at the sky, her gaze moved back towards the Academy her turquoise eyes glimmered as she wished to return to the school and to her friends. She stopped for a few moments, her fox tails flickered lightly with anticipation of returning. "Come on sister." Renjiro said coldly as he looked back, his wounds bandaged and cleaned though he walked with a limp from the fight. His eyes showed anger that he failed so miserably in the fight, he blinked his eyes tightly as if to blink away the pain from his injuries but of course it wouldn't do anything.
Suzume followed the others, her head drooped as she watched the ground pass underneath her, "Suzume... I can help you get back to The Academy..." she heard in her mind, she shook her head but of course the presense had returned, pouncing on the fact she was separated from Twilight Moon Academy and the people that could help her. Everything was going according to plan for Lucifer, everything was falling into place. He'd need to have someone to accompany Suzume once his plan came into place but someone that wouldn't seem overpowering in presense but would still be helpful if it all failed. Lucifer smirked, he had just the one for the job.
Lucifer sat 'pon his throne of souls and fire, smiling wickedly as a tall, tanned teenaged looking man approached. His messy black hair tousled as he walked he was clothed in full black attire, his golden hued eyes glinted as he approached the throne, "What is it you wish for me to do?" he asked as he bowed, stooping down to one knee as he lowered his gaze.
"An escort mission of sorts if you choose to pick your words in such a way." Lucifer smirked, "Now tell me, how much do you understand of Blood Bonds?" he asked, a small film of gray mist hung in the air to his right in which Suzume could plainly be seen.
"Not much, but I'm willing to learn." he responded as he kept his gaze to the ground and awaited what Lucifer would say next.
"There's still plenty of time for you to learn, go ask Daedus. I'm sure he'll be able to inform you of what you need to know." Lucifer said as he watched the mist, his eyes narrowed with anger.
"So you have said it, so it shall be done." He stood up and walked from the room, his footsteps only making the slightest noise on the floor as he walked. Lucifer seemed to take no notice in what the golden eyed person had said as he rubbed his hands together with the continuation as his mind ran through the plans of events to come. A pleased look on his face as his mind ran through it again to make sure there were no problems in the plan, he saw a few holes but he'd be sure to fix them later on.
In the mist Suzume was following her family, her eyes wandering accross the floor silently as she looked at the blades of grass that passed under her feet in a bored manner. If the road suddenly swerved then she probably would have continued walking without noticing till she walked into a spider web or something of the sort.
Hikazu walked next to Suzume and was gabbing about some random, useless thing or another. On her ears were earrings and she was obsessing over them though it was with good reason- one would be worried about Suzume for not caring since where they were from earrings were a sign that someone was engaged or married. Hikazu was certainly old enough actually, she was in her early twenties. She acted so silly just because that was her Hikazu-ness, nobody can get between Hikazu and her Hikazu-ness, that would be bad. Her eyes glittered with happiness as she talked on and on and on, she seemed as if she'd never stop and Suzume wouldn't be suprised that if Hikazu dropped dead that moment her mouth would continue moving as if words were still coming out. The idea of getting rid of Hikazu was found pleasing to Suzume for a few moments, it probably would have to alot of people. But few would consider actually following through with it, her hand glowed turquoise with fire for a moment but she decided it better if she didn't kill Hikazu, that would be bad.
The fire died away from her hand and she continued walking, her ears swiveling to pick up the noises from the world around her which showed her mind was still buzzing with thoughts though assuredly they were probably not good ones. Her eyes seemed to be building up with frustration as they walked.
Ameratsu looked up at Renjiro her gaze was confused and dazed, Renjiro smirked as he looked at the two tailed cat. He was happy now that Ameratsu was unable to do anything as stupid as what she was planning on doing earlier. Hiding the prophesy from him and trying to deliver it to his foolish sister. Renjiro was always informed of the prophesies and he had already explained that they were not to be told to Suzume, he didn't want that to happen at all since any prophesy that reached anyone else could be potentially bad for him- especially since he still hadn't gotten a secured future from a True Name. He still wished for it and he scouled angrily- he was stronger, better than everyone else and he deserved a True Name and Suzume gets hers and there's barely a fluxuation in her abilities. He could feel the power locked within him and he couldn't wait till the day when he could unleash it and be through with all these petty problems like thorns in his side- yes. Power would solve everything.
Tehara looked back at the kids to make sure they were okay, she slowed her pace so she would fall back with Suzume and Hikazu. She put her hand on Suzume's shoulder, "Suzume, I'm sorry but it was all starting to turn out like the last school." she said, her voice was in the gentle tone expected from a mother. She wasn't normally how she acted back at The Academy- she was exceedingly worried since the letter from Suzume made it sound like she was dying and that she had to track down three kids. Then there was the whole thing about Renjiro being covered in blood when she found him and that wasn't exactle the best thing that could happen- a worried mother finding her son fighting two older boys and the air literally filled with the stench of blood. Seriously everyone needed to cut the lady some slack.
"Mom, but it wasn't going to turn out like the other school!" Suzume complained, oddly yet not unexpectedly Hikazu continued talking as if she was caught up in her own little world, which she probably was.
"I like the color blue, do you like the color blue? I mean seriously you could wear blue for any occasion! Dark blue to some formal event or a nice pretty periwinkle or something in a sun dress!" she stopped talking for a moment to ghasp at the wonder of a new idea that popped into her mind. "Purple and blue would be-" Hikazu stopped talking mid sentance.
Renjiro stifled a laugh as he walked ahead, but he stopped 'pon his mother saying something to him, "Renjiro! Please return Hikazu's thoughts!" she said, Renjiro wasn't allowed to delve into people's minds but he did anyways. Renjiro was completely irresponsible with his powers. He got a family chased out of town because he managed to convince over half the town they were aliens. Of course nobody blamed Renjiro since he did this all telepathically but still- whether or not the town knew he was the one that made them all act like idiots he still shouldn't have done such a thing.
Renjiro stopped his constant speeding up and looked back at Tehara and nodded, within moments Hikazu was talking again but this time about people she saw at Twilight Moon Academy while she was there. "I would love to go to THAT school! Honestly, is it some kind of requirement that everyone there has good looks? I mean really!" Suzume completely tuned out the rest of what Hikazu was saying- she wasn't interested in the hottie rating of the people that used to be her fellow classmates.
Tehara looked back at Suzume, "Suzume, you don't know that- nobody does and I don't want to arrive to find you locked up again." she said as she looped her arm around Suzume's shoulders in a loose hug.
Seemingly dropping from the sky, a broad shouldered figure came, silently landing on the ground. It was Suzume's father, his bright turquoise eyes showed he was glad to have his precious daughter back. "There's a town just up ahead, we can get there before dark and we can stay at the inn." He said as he walked over towards the group, He kissed Tehara before she could say anything though it didn't seem to be that there was anything she was going to say in the first place.
Suzume didn't stay in any inns on her way to Twilight Moon Academy, though she did stop in occasionally to get something to drink. Most taverns or inns that sold alcohol (which many did) didn't pay much if any attention to drinking ages so she was fine with that whole problem. She'd make sure that she could get some sake at the inn tonight, one of the few good things- she could have her alcohol back. She ceased paying attention to everything, the only thing that peirced through the barrier of her thoughts was Hikazu who seemed to get only louder, "And that one guy who didn't completely get his butt kicked! Wow, don't get me started on him!" Hikazu said with a laugh before continuing what she was saying.
Well, atleast that was all Suzume thought was peircing through the barrier she formed in her mind, 'Come on, you know she has no purpose here. Kill her and end that constant talking.' Lucifer said into Suzume's mind. Suzume had to admit that Hikazu was annoying and shouldn't have come to Twilight Moon Academy with her parents to pick her up but some things just couldn't be helped. She wasn't going to kill Hikazu and that was that, honestly! What kind of lunatic would the world see her as then! But then again it wouldn't be the first time Lucifer got to kill someone out of annoyance, at her old school though the person didn't go by the name of Hikazu, instead he went by a title- Headmaster.
Suzume of course had no recollection of killing the Headmaster of her old school but she had done more destruction as well, when the school got her under controll they decided to keep her under controll by injecting her with sedatives and throwing her hin a cell where she was kept under constant watch. Nobody was allowed to talk to her though and nobody was in a hurry to break that rule any time soon. The destruction she'd caused wasn't what she remembered it was being caged for almost two and a half months which would of course raise inquiries about the fact that she had only been at her old school for three months. She didn't remember the first fifteen days because it was all overshadowed by the isolation she had for that long time, after what she had done she was no longer seen as a student but as a wild animal. Of course this what Tehara had been refferring to earlier when she said she didn't want it to turn out like the last school. She obviously didn't have exactly high regards for any schools of magic.
The tall, golden eyed, black haired demon certainly took his time fulfilling orders. A new day had already started in the realm of the living and so that brought on the descision that it was time for him to go do something so he walked into the town as silently as possible as he walked up to a house and entered without a sound as if he were made of nothing but shadows.
The golden eyed demon looked around the room with a raised eyebrow, "Daedus? Where are you?" He asked, his voice forceful as he spoke. There came no response so he slowly walked through the room, walls lined with books and several tables lined with schematics and covered with yet more books. His feet tapped slightly as he walked through the room before stopping at a random table to see what lay on it.
"What do you want?" came a voice from behind the demon who turned around to see a disgruntled looking creature with leathery skin and hard oaken hued eyes.
"I need you to teach me about Blood Bonds, Lucifer commands it." He said in response, his words sounding like orders as they were uttered from his lips.
At the mention of Lucifer Daedus cringed and nodded, "Of course, let me get right not that then!" he said as he walked towards the books. Daedus was a short man with greedy little hands as well as a balding spot on the back of his head. He was odd looking and certainly not the sort of person anyone would want to meet, a philosopher who ended up getting mixed up in things he shouldn't have and now has eternity to look foreward to because of it. "I have two books with me right now that are about Blood Bonds, unfortunately it seems someone has stolen all the other ones I had just last night." He said in a nervous voice as he handed the books to the demon in a timid manner.
He sighed, "Well then I guess I'll actually have to read them." He said as he began walking out with absolutely no true intent on returning the books, besides if you give books to a demon you might not want them back when they were finished. It was odd though, this particular demon didn't look much like a demon at all, in fact he might be considered handsome even. He was tall and tanned, his black hair not too short but not too long in all it's messy glory and his eyes- oh his eyes. They were glimmering gold in color which was truly quite remarkable, this demon's name you might ask? Well, it wasn't commonly known or feared but to anyone who asked it was none of thier buisness but from writer to writer it shall become known that this particular demon was called Israfel and he was out to make a name for himself.
Israfel sat outside on the ground as he read one of the two books, the front cover a dark emerald green with bronze faceted to it for decoration, the pages filled with handwritten text that wasn't too terribly hard to read though it could be imagined that the book was fairly expensive but Israfel paid no mind to that as he began studying and learning of what Blood Bonds were. To be honest the more he read the more excited he grew about the latest plot devised by Lucifer and he smirked as he read, "Oh, this is gonna be good..." he muttered to himself in a sly tone.
Suzume watched her parents hand the innkeeper the money as they began leaving, Renjiro had frozen a few guests and the innkeeper decided to use such as an opportunity to charge more and charge more he did. It was a crippling sum of money and it was obvious that due to recent setbacks they wouldn't be able to stay in an inn for a while.
Hikazu had something to say about that, but then again nobody cared.
Hikazu continued on her latest rant and Suzume continued to look to the ground as she walked, her eyes tinged oddly but it was nearly impossible to put your finger on what exactly it was. They looked duller as if someone had a pallette of water color paints and daubed gray into them, indeed that what it was. Her eyes grew dimmer as did her spirit with being the eyes the window into the soul.
Lucifer smiled as he sat atop his throne, seeing eveything moving ahead just as planned. This was going to be an interesting conflict indeed and he couldn't wait to see it all unfold.
The farther Suzume walked and the more that things happened around her all that much she became distant and separated from everyone else around her. Her ears failed to swivel to take in the sounds around her and her tails drooped instead of thier usual foxy poof. Her feet made little if not any sounds on the ground as she walked as if she wasn't there and honestly there wasn't any hope in anyone noticing sometime soon since Tehara was explaining to Renjiro the morals of why you don't break into peoples houses and steal books to burn and Suzume's father Jouta was ahead of them. That left her with Hikazu who continued to talk incessantly and wasn't going to notice anything soon.
Yet now still there was another onlooker, this one looked through a sheet of ice, her eyes watched with a pained expression from a world painted in gray. Her eyes were filled with knowlege and they glittered turquoise as a sigh escaped her lips, "I feared for Jouta but I didn't think it would go to his children." she said to herself as she shook her head. Such an odd development surely. Her black fox ears twitched in atop her head and she shook her head, "All my fault..." she muttered as she stood up, the ice on the ground flickered back to just a normal sheet of ice and she looked around her. This meant she was likely going to get free again, and get another chance. The clutches of Gate Suppression 9 were tight around her and refused to let go untill this 'fulfilling your destiny' deal was over and done with and she hoped she'd finally be able to do just that.
Rain. That was the one thing she hoped for, when Makashi had died it was followed by a downpour lasting days that came from clear skies. In legend it meant that a great hero had died and she knew such a thing was true for Makashi indeed and she knew that some things were too much to ask for, she just had to hope for rain as she did in her first death. She sighed again at this thought, dying twice wasn't something most people looked foreward and she was no exception. She dreaded the thought of dying the first time around and she was going to die again the first step though would of course getting back to the living world from this desolate wasteland. The smell of food drifting in the air to only entice the maddening hunger that one gets when they are without any form of provisions in any way shape or form.
Days passed and Israfel approached Lucifer with a smile, "I am done, now I wish for my assignment." he bowed to Lucifer and when he looked back up Lucifer was standing.
"There's a kitsune I wish for you to stay with, and you need to form a blood bond. That will strengthen the hold over her, but first she needs to come to us. I'll try to make that tonight." He said with a wicked tone in his voice.
That night as Suzume slept, the full moon above her shone down on her skin and her mind wandered into the dark room she was growing more and more accustomed to, in fact- she could now go there when she was in the waking world. Lucifer awaited her there and he smiled, "Suzume, what if I told you that I could help you back to Twilight Moon Academy?" He asked.
"And what if I told you no?" she responded as she sat down and looked defiantly up at Lucifer.
"Then I'd have to say that it would only be temorary. I'll help you control the darkness and even add to it, when you get to The Academy you can reject my powers any time you wish." He said matter-of-factly as he sat down in a chair that was invisible to the eyes so it seemed that he was sitting in air.
"Whenever I wish? What if I wanted to get rid of it before I reached the school?" she asked, her voice gave away that she was thinking about accepting an offer.
"Then you can lose the powers then if that was what you truly want!" Lucifer said in a happy tone, this was all working exactly as planned.
"Well... okay then, I guess..." She said as she looked towards Lucifer and nodded, "I just want to get to TMA though, that's it!" She stated before she let Lucifer send the dark powers into her.
Lucifer smiled as a seeping black liquid poured upwards from the floor and soaked into Suzume's flesh. Suzume was caught by immediate suprise and tried to run but to no avail as the water flowed up her legs and began engulfing her. When it was all absorbed into her her eyes were closed tightly but when they were opened... oh when they were opened it was terrible to see. The normally bright turquoise was dark gray, no traces of the old Suzume were to be seen now as she smiled. Lucifer nodded as Israfel stepped foreward. "Now my darling, take this gift. He will make sure you are safe." He said as Israfel walked silently towards Suzume.
Suzume smiled, "Indeed, but how will I be sure that he won't betray me?" she asked, already thinking that nobody could be trusted and all were just as she was, willing to rid any hindrances.
"A blood bond perhaps?" Lucifer suggested and Suzume nodded, it was a brilliant idea! She gripped her hands and the Ame appeared in her hands she ran the cold metal across her palm and then quickly cut into Israfel's hand. She pressed her hand against his and began reciting words that echoed through the darkness.
Israfel was relatively unresponsive to all that was going on around him as the blood bond was made and he knew what was going to happen, Lucifer had told him but unbeknownst to Lucifer, he had plans of his own. The world of fire was going to be his and there was nothing to be done about it, all the things were in place and nobody had any clue of his agenda, the only element he needed was this blood bond.
The blood bond was formed and instantly he had a connection to Suzume which he could feel as her blood mixed with his, a smile spread accross his face as it commenced, this was all real though it was all happening in the realm of dreams. When Suzume awakened she had the cut on her palm and her eyes glittered with darkness as she stood up, "Oh brother, it's time for you to wake up..." she said as she held her hand against Renjiro's forehead. As he awakened before an attempt at speech could even be made he was dead, fox fire and darkness swirling within his skull before residing. The sun rose that morning with four new corpses there, one named Tehara, the other two were Jouta, and Renjiro.... and then there was Hikazu, but honestly I (the typer) find that a means of celebration.
Suzume was already heading back for the academy, darkness clouding her thought as she brought herself closer, taking a little detour to visit her old school- Jonistan's Prepatory School for Girls. The headmaster from before was dead, the new one better be more of a challenge this time... and this time she'll be sure to rid this planet of everyone. She smiled at this thought as she continued walking, oh this was going to be fun.
She didn't take long to get to the school and she took even less time to kill them all, a manic smile plastered on her face the entire time, blood rained to the ground in a torrent as the teachers and students were killed. Dark magic building up in her with every kill, she weilded the Ketsuiki and Ame with ease as her body slipped and contorted itself throughout the entirety of the massacre in order to reach the spots where when struck would be instant kills. She laughed wickedly as she stuck the tip of the Ame into the side wall of the school and with a massive shockwave it came falling to the ground. It took less than an hour to cause all this destruction and she was ready to move on to Twilight Moon Academy now. Though Lucifer gave her instructions not to kill anyone- yet, she could still torment them horribly. She was going to relish every moment of it.
Her tails thrashed behind her as she left the school and headed for The Academy and the weapons distintegrated from her hands as she broke out into a run which went to such a pace she dissapeared from sight and her form dashed through the foliage before coming into view of Twilight Moon Academy, but first she wanted to get in completely undetected- and she knew just how she could do that. She morphed into her fox form and slowly made her way towards one of the students who awaited a teacher to escort them to Twilight Moon Academy. Unfortunately the teacher arrived before she could reach the student but she still had time, apparently they weren't taking a boat and the teacher provided a sheet of ice on which to walk to the school upon. This was going to be oh so easy, in fact- it might even be fun! She walked onto the ice while in her fox form as she tried to attract the attention of the student named Ava.
