As handed down through the generations of goblins, each with varying details, there is a story of how House Goblins came to be. Each species of house goblins tells as its kind as the leader, often with the others as merely lowly infantry, kinds of soldiers that were easily 'disposed' of. This story is from a time when Goblins, believe it or not, were the dominant species, a long, long, long time ago.
In the beginning, there was no difference between goblins, for they were all the same, each had a monotonous tone of green skin, large, droopy facial features, and some hair. As the other races of the world soon began to make their presence known, some goblins wished to stay secluded from the other species, while others wanted to make pacts with the others, especially humans. The heated debates that the goblins had with their annoying speech soon escalated into hate, and that hate soon escalated into violence, originally starting out as isolated events, soon became a full-blown war.
The Faction that wanted seclusion kept the name of 'Goblin', while hate speech and the like gave the other Faction the name of 'House Goblin', after the remarks they would turn into nothing but pets. Over a time of a couple years, the House Goblins were losing to the Goblins, after having to split their forces between fighting the Goblins and holding talks with the humans.
About three years later, in the battle that was to be called the Battle of Chingerfrou, a major House Goblin fort, the House Goblins fell under siege and had no chance for survival. Aside from small isolated groups, the House Goblin Army was completely contained. After three days of continuous siege, a large group appeared on the horizon, humans! The humans' superior number and strength quickly took down the bulk of the Goblin Army.
Three of the most notable warriors were three of the leaders of the three armies, Salvatore of the East, who was a little off his rocker, Von Krieger of the South, who had a little problem with anger issues, and Lother of the West, the more intelligent one of the group. In exchange for the humans' help and the allowance of goblins to live in their houses, the House Goblins agreed to a species long binding contract, that the three warriors and their blood-line would have the ability to summon the creatures on-demand, however, each was only granted the ability to summon certain kinds, based on the ones found in their houses.
Over time, more and more types of House Goblins came along as more items were put into the homes, ranging from glass windows to computers. Although, over time the natural knack for summoning any kind of goblin began to get weaker as the pure blood-line began to thin out, thus resulting in the three main branches of the families creating items in which the power was stored, most of the time with everyday items. The main branch of the Von Krieger family chose the leg of a stool, the Lother family choosing a Television remote, and the Salvatore family choosing a Sharpie Marker.
However not much is known on the current whereabouts of two of the main parts of the families and their items, the Salvatore is the most recently found out again after the first-born, 'J.J.' Salvatore received the Sharpie Marker and took off to an unknown destination, only to have it resurface with the appearance of Brandon Salvatore.
-----Nature of House Goblins-----
Despite the fact that House Goblins are on a never-ending contract, they can still choose to disobey their master, however most feel a strong sense of duty to uphold their master's wishes, unless it is against one of their own kind who has done nothing that the House Goblins themselves have seen. If their master would make them harm another Goblin if that Goblin didn't wish it, some House Goblins would even turn on their master, filled with rage and blood-lust, very contrary to the House Goblin's very kind and crazy nature.
