Rusty brick red curls piled neatly back into place. The eighteen year old girl then turned to Akira. The curls settled down and lightly rested on her shoulders. She put her sword away underneath her brilliantly colored, royal blue cloak and adjusted the belt which was connected to her sheath. "Yes, I think a trip doesn't sound bad at all," Marleina said with a soft, yet slightly out of breath tone. The woman (well, i don't like saying 'young woman' because that's what my parents called me when i was 9 and 10. So woman is 15 and ^ for me^^) took a golden embroidered headband that matched her cloak. It had very intricately detailed golden threads make a elvish like design on it, even though Marleina was not an elf. She walked to catch up with Akira and the others. You will be my bride Marleina, you have no way out- but death.' a very commanding and sly voice of a man replayed inside her mind. 'One way or another, you will marry me.

Akira nodded to Darius, "No day would be too soon." she said in a sullen tone as she clenched her fists, there might be one or two towns in the path from here to wherever Jouta had been taken- origionally there might have been three but we all remember how THAT went. Akira hoped Darius wouldn't slaughter everyone in the next towns, of course two towns being pretty close to minimum since they might want to avoid populated areas due to the large concentration of wanted peoples in this particular party. Akira felt little to no difference in her curse mark as she walked closer but she knew soon enough she would, getting stronger as they neared. Aroroth couldn't read Akira's thoughts exactly but he could get general ideas so Akira knew that she'd have to separate herself from the others at some point, not wanting to risk letting Aroroth know too much about them coming. A plan was in order though her mind was still being blasted by a headache that exceeded all expectations for a normal headache so she was unable to think of anything. Akira apparently had an amazing pain tolerance.

Marleina walked next to Akira as sliently as she could. She turned her head to Akira and asked, "What has Aroroth taken from you?" Her eyes were narrowed in sorrow as she flashed back in her mind- to the sight of a boy- surrounded by flames, screaming and calling Marleina's name out as men took him away. She winced at the sorrowful thought and looked straight ahead of them.

Darius completely understood Akira's thoughts and fears as he patted her back.
"You don't need to worry about them knowing too much about me. THere are things you still don't know about me that make me even more dangerous to reckon with. Things that simply garanteed my spot as the most wanted male." Darius explained. "I wouldn't let you go alone anyway." He jested.
Darius moved out into the open as he put his fingers to his mouth and blew, a very sharp whistle rang out that could possibly be heard for miles. A loud thundering was heard far away as horses came into view, one for each of the people in the group. Darius had taken a leisurely time a year back and tamed a group of stallions, just for the hell of it. He knew it would have come in handy someday, and apparently, this was the day. A pitched black stallion came to rest by Darius as he put his hand on it. THis wasn't any normal stallion, this was Darius' horse, a Prince's horse of Frovenguard that kept the other stallions in order. Darius slung Darkfire off his back as he strapped it to the horse, whom he dubbed Shadowmere, and drank from a flask on the horse's side. Darius turned and signalled the rest of the group to come and get a horse. There were many colors in the stallion group, from sand to the purest white, mixed, and browns. Darius mounted Shadowmere and the horse whinnied, it knew this rider.
"Everyone, get a horse. This will be a long ride and these horses are strong." Darius alerted.

Marleina spotted a clean looking thoroughbred like horse and touched its neck gently underneath its silky jet black mane, mounted it, and fixed her cloak behind her. The horse's eyes were kind and wise, Marleina could sense it as well as see the traits. The girl patted it on the neck and whispered soft words of kindness from the animal's back. Her mind; however, meandered wild through her memories.
'Hey, that's not fair!' Marleina laughed as she was jumped from behind in a hug by her boyfriend Aern. (Are-ren) 'What- I can't hug you?' he asked her still keeping his arms around her waist. She turned her head to look at his and smiled. "Yes, I never said you couldn't." He had brown eyes and blonde-golden hair. He was indeed, very good looking and very respectable. (But what made them so close was their 12 year friendship together. They were close when they were little and that led to like and love. But that's another story.) "Well then," he replied splashing water from a stream in front of them to her face.
Oh how she missed those days with him. The nights, sunsets and work days in the fields on Fridays when they were young.... Yearning now wouldn't bring them back to her. If she was going to have more of those blissful days, she had to find the place Akira was going, so she could find Simmion. Maleina's face was sad and full of a deep pain that was, right now, easily shown. Her head hung from her neck like a rag dolls would.

Akira looked at one horse, an appaloosa in appearance, it was one of the tallest ones and it's legs were long and muscular yet still seemed to hold that odd horsey charm that lead little girls to long for one when they were little. The upper half of the white mane hung on one side and the lower half on the other. It's feet shuffled lightly on the ground and Akira climbed up and sat on it's back, her shoulders placed back her feet rested in the air with the heels down and her clutched the horse's mane as she looked down towards Marleina, "They've taken my son." she said plainly before kicking the horse's sides to get going and it broke off in a swift trot, she would speed up to a canter or gallop later though she was more inclined to canter since a gallop would certainly be rough for long distances while riding bareback. The horse's feet lifted high off the ground with each step which provided a plenty smooth ride concerning how the trot normally was so hopefully if the pace chosen was in fact a gallop it wouldn't be quite as gruesome. She wanted to get started on the journey as fast as possible, not wanting to waste time and her turquoise eyes only glanced backwards for a moment to see if anyone followed.

Maleina caught up with Akira, going the same pace with her horse. Irish red curls gracefully bouced up and down on the girl's head as she tapped her horse into a canter now. She looked at Akira with an understanding of how she felt. "He took my boyfriend. It was the only thing in the one nobles way from me. I was forced by law to marry him- but I refused. I was only to marry the ghastly noble because of my looks and for money. That's why those people were after me," she told her like an open book with a melancholy pitch. "I understand-" she paused, " how it feels Akira. That's why you want to save him and take revenge on the man for that." She looked away for a moment and then straight up into the sky. "I promise, I'll help you find him Akira, no matter what happens," she added.

God damnit, Akira. Darius thought as he hit his feet against the horse's flanks.
"YAH!" He exclaimed as the horse surged forward with speed. Darius was still behind Akira, he had slowed down the horse to adjust some things, she looked like she was used to riding.
---------------------
Meanwhile, off in a forest in the middle of nowhere, Shadowsong slept soundly, for no-one was there to hear his snoring. They had died from bleeding ear drums beforehand.
---------------------
Darius had taken the time he was riding to stick his now visible bow on the side of Shadowmere, and tie on a satchel of throwing knives. He was not planning on getting off anytime soon, he had enough dragon jerky for a month. He had caught up to Akira and the other girl at this point.

Akira looked towards Darius, her turquoise eyes glimmered as she looked towards the horizone, her body atop the horse cast a long shadow on the ground as the sun already began sinking so Akira formed an orb of turquoise fox fire to illuminate thier way.
Solstace looked up at Reggetar, not wanting to ride horseback and she figured a dragon might offer a smoother ride. She knew how to take advantage of the cat form and her eyes were big and pleading as she mewled at him, her tails pointing to the dragon to show she wanted a ride. The fox fire made it easy to figure out where the group was and they'd be easy to spot from the air, the dragon could fly low anyways. The group was moving away quickly and it would take a pretty fast gait to catch up since they seemed to leave without regard for the others- quite rude of them actually.
Akira's hair bounced as she travelled, her eyes intent on the journey and she wanted to be at the end of it already. Her nine fox tails were absorbed into her body though the ears stayed, she didn't want to bother with the tails at this moment.
In the fortress Jouta looked towards Aroroth, his eyes showed that he was indeed confused at all that was going on. He looked around him, Skiit stood in the shadows watching, the mark splayed accross his face and several other figures stood with him, all clothed in black cloaks. A few let thier faces be revealed, one of them was a man with a hard set jaw and black, matted hair. Standing next to him was a girl who was the same age as he was, her skin pale and seemed hinted with blue even. Her eyes were calm and a dark muddy brown color, her hair silver blonde in the light.
"Tehara, keep the boy company will you?" Aroroth said as he motioned for the girl to come foreward and she did, her steps graceful for just a girl. Her ears slightly pointed as if she was of elven descent and a smile on her face as she walked towards Jouta. The mark wasn't visible but that was because it was on the back of her neck, hair no longer growing where the mark was.
"I don't want to play with a girl!" Jouta said in a voice of complaint, "Aren't there any boys?" he asked, back at home nobody expected him to spend time with the girls yet and he just thought they were weird. They confused him alot, girls were just weird. Jouta's parents had even avoided answering the whole 'where do babies come from' nonsense so Jouta was still in the stage where girls had cooties and chances were finding out where babies came from wouldn't help him enjoy a girl's company much more either.

Simmian heard the boy's cry. He had indeed gone through that part already. He hated it. He wanted his Marleina back and right then and there; however, it was useless, she wouldn't go to find him- she was probably already in prison after marrying that noble. The loneliness at one point overwhelmed him- but not insanely. He got over it quick enough to be calm for now on. A life of a suite; like a wodden bed, chains and other wonderful accessories.
The necklace that consisted of a gold chain and a crystal clear diamond like stone glowed on Marleina's neck. "No," she thought as she gripped the stone around her chest- neck area.

Jouta looked towards Tehara who blushed, "There's not much to do anyways. Do you want to talk or something... umm... what's your name? No wait.. you're Tehara, well my name is Jouta." he said as he looked around him for a few moments, wondering what exactly to do.
Tehara nodded, "Nice to meet you, are you sure there's nothing you want to do? Are you thirsty?" she asked, she cupped her hands and water formed in them from nowhere, "see?" she said.
Jouta smiled, "I can do something like that!" he exclaimed, fire formed on his hand and it flickered turquoise light and he looked up at Tehara. Tehara was quite pretty but of course he didn't notice that since to him she was just another girl.
Tehara's eyes glittered as she saw the fire, "Amazing..." she muttered, but she winced, "ow!" she said as her hand went to the back of her neck, spilling water all over the floor. She rubbed the back of her neck with her hand and she blinked for a few moments.
Then it donned on Jouta- 'when did I get in here?' he thought to himself, last thing he knew he was standing in a large throne room but now he was in a cell and he never seemed to notice, one second he was in one place, the next he was here. He ignored Tehara and he ran to the bars of the cell, "Hey! What's going on?" he shouted. Tehara just watched with sad eyes for a few moments, one of her pointed ears twitched slightly.
Akira looked over towards Marleina, "What is it?" she asked, her eyebrow cocked in curiosity. Her ears twitched as they caught noises from all around.

"Your son," She replied to Akira, "something's wrong. Simman's barely alive as well. But We should find your son fast Akira. Something isn't quite right." Red curls bouced faster as she gave a light squeeze to her horse, signaling that it was time to go faster. Though the call from Simmian was draining to her, and her head started to blurr and spiral, Marleina continued to ride like the wind.

Darius came beside Akira and nodded to her.
"THe others back there do not matter. We must go--- NOW!" Darius exclaimed as he slapped the haunches of Akira's horse. THe horse whinnied as Darius galloped ahead, the night's waxy moon making his hair gleam almost flourescently.
Something is ahead...something one with the night. I hope to my father that THEY are not here. The drow of Alzor have been stalking me for quite a while. Ironic, and I'M suppose to be the Darkstalker. He thought to himself as a dart whizzed past his ear.
"GIRL UP AHEAD! RIDE AS FAST AS YOU CAN AND DO NOT FALTER! AKIRA!" Darius yelled as he turned his head backwards.
"DO NOT LET THOSE DARTS HIT YOU! THEY PARALYZE ON PENETRATION!" He yelled to her as he rode on.
Akira, I am so sorry. These drow have been following me everywhere in the night and I did not alert you. He sent her a mind message.
Darius hit his feet on the horse's flanks as it was soon brought into full gallop. A large bump and a wail of terror sounded as Shadowmere hit an Alzor drow and trampled him underhoof.

"Oh no," she muttered, "Please Simmian- hold on a little longer." The emerald turned to jade at the sight of another attack through her eyes, but how much longer would she be able to keep her eyes open? Her blue cloak rippled in mid-air through the blustery breeze from riding at that great speed.
