Lorien had been riding along beside then, having chosen a sturdy, tall stallion on a dark brown. There had been much to listen to, so the knight had been unusually silent. Probably a blessing for most of the party.
He glanced at Darius in alarm at his warning, holding his lance out in preparation. As a knight, fighting on horseback was no new thing for him, and his horse seemed used to it as well, luckily. Heeding Darius he rode with Akira to protect her from injury, calling, "We must hurry!" to the others behind. Just in case they hadn't heard. You know.
(Well guys, I still need a few hours to study for Science Mids tomorrow. Just assume Lorien is somewhere around you, maybe make him get hit with an arrow in the head or something, (jk) or whatever suits your fancy. ._. I'll be in a dark room, all alone, trying to scrape some understanding for the cold text....)

(sorry i could not come on today...i was at my grandmas who does not have a computer. yeah...so Dikan said that he would protect Meirlina and then nothing happened lol.)
Dikan quickly ran over to a pure white stallion. He had never rode a horse before, and was not how he would fair in battle if he had to fight on one. He placed the sword that he carried in his left hand in its sleeve. He jumped up onto the horse, swinging his right leg over the saddle. He kicked the horse and it immediately galloped ahead with the read. Lorien, Darius, and Akira were in their own group up ahead. He heard Lorien say, "we must hurry," and he quickly placed his other sword away. He kicked the horse multiple times until it finally began to run fast enough. After a while, he was with the lead group on horseback.

Marleina rode up to Lorien and Dikan. "I have a feeling that many of us won't make it through the return journey home," she thought to herself as she slipped in and out of reality and consciousness. Her green eyes dimmed, her heart could be heard with each pound it made inside her ears and yet, still continued to stay awake the best she could. Her head flopped like she was asleep in an up, down, up, down pattern for a few minutes- not being able to see the darts.

"If we do not," Dikan said as his horse continued to gallop, "we will have died for a worthy cause." The gallop of the horse was making the ride more and more painful.

Akira reached over towards the horse's head and grabbed it's mane violently and pulled back as the horse slowed down to a canter. It's muscles shifting and if Dikan could get the rthym right then it would be less painful than a gallop. Her horse evened it's pace with Dikan as she waved with her hand for the others to follow as she extinguished the turquoise flame so they'd be harder to see, her glowing eyes dimmed so that they couldn't be pinpointed.

Marleina fell unconcious and still, subconcicously was able to tell the horse what to do. She had come from a place where you could have the gift of being a horse whisper. The good part about it, was that Marleina was one of them. But with that- where she was also from- people usually were up at night- not day; and running for a week and a day took a toll on her. She had only taken one single break inbetween. The strength within her had taken over the rest of the way, and her horse help- but they had shot Glorifina with an arrow a long ways back. "Fieara, keep your ga-llop," she tellapathically told her horse weakly. "Are you alright young one?" Fieara questioned her rider as she took a look at the girl on top of her. The jet black mane whipped in the winds that blew past them. "Just- weary Fieara, if I don't respond- then follow the others no matter- what," she replied to Fieara who made an even faster gallop to the top of the group with Akira.

Reggetar grabbed Solstace and hosted her up. It wasn’t very nice but Reggetar had been put into a bad mood. He hated being left behind. He then pulled himself up. Zephyr pushed off. Reggetar tossed a leather rope back to Solstace to hold on to. If she fell off Reggetar would never forgive himself despite his foul mood. Zephyr soon climbed to a low level of clouds. She held this altitude for a moment. “Hold on. Tightly” Reggetar advised as Zephyr tucked in her wings and began her rapid decent. She wasn’t going straight down, but at an angle. This allowed them to cover more ground and lose some altitude at the same time. Reggetar soon found the group. He noticed that they seemed to be under siege. Great. Zephyr angled to the larger group. He wondered if the horses would freak at the sight of an unexpected dragon, but being that they belonged to Darius, he figured this was highly unlikely. He stayed about thirty feet above easily keeping pace with the horses. He did feel a bit sorry about being mean to Solstace but was too stubborn to apologize. After all, he could have just left her there… It wouldn’t surprise him to get his head chewed off. Maybe learning better social skills was something he should consider doing…

Dikan's horse galloped poast Akira for only a few seconds. He quickly pulled on the reigns, slowing the ehorse to almost a complete stop. He pulled the horse behind Akira's so that he would be able to follow it now.

Akira looked around them, her eyes catching sillohuetes of beings in the dark but she was yet still unable to see them completely. The fact of this made her even more nervous and the thought of going up to a gallop crossed her mind but that might cause more confusion about the set pace- first it was a trot, then a gallop, then a canter. It would be overcomplicated to try to figure out exactly what was going on and anyways horses didn't like it much when they had to change speeds too much and after a while they might stop listening to you if you were too forceful with them. She looked up at the dragon that loomed ahead and then around her for but a moment before releasing the horse's mane and gripping her hands to summon the Ketsuiki and the Ame back into her grip. They came in a flash of red and blue light which attracted a spray of darts, a sheild of ice splayed out from the tip of the Ketsuiki and she held it up to block the darts and of course it worked. Everything seemed to work in this world since either everything went exactly as planned or horribly wrong.
As Solstice sat atop the dragon- though sitting isn't the best way to put it. Her mouth was clamped tightly onto the leather strap and she wasn't even on the dragon when it was falling, now she was somewhat there and she wished she'd just gotten on the horse with Akira. Her eyes flashed and she frowned, not that she didn't have much to frown about but this frown was just a weird one. Solstice had the gift of prophesy and she'd recieved one that she found quite disturbing. Sometimes prophesies are just that- prophesies, other times they were more like curses. 'Every pain, and every strife that you have endured throughout your life will echo in new pain in the next generation the same. Only through you may such things be stopped, life after death is through as such portal you will come.' Solstice knew who the prophesy was aimed at- not all of them were for her, in fact most of them were for people around her. No, not Reggetar. This one was for Akira. Solstice's tails swirled around as she looked around her for a few moments, the darts didn't look particularly friendly at all so she decided it best not to try to get anywhere remotely open to attack since she was sure a dragon would have a thick enough hide to protect from the darts.

Fieara continued her gallop as fast as she could for the longest she could. Even as a middle aged horse, running still got tiresome to her. Her glossy black mane began to tangle in some places from the force of the winds, but nonetheless, she never faltered with Marleina on her back. "Wake up Marleina! We have no time for this now- more arrows are coming at us and-" Fiera darted out in a young grandmother like voice. Her hooves stomped on the ground and brought dirt up behind her with each stride and movement she made. The pink of her nostrils flared and widened and her breathing was heavy. Marleina's head continued to bob until she heard the horse's voice inside her mind again and awakened. As her faint green eyes stirred their way to an opened state, darts whizzed by her face and she knew what was happening again. "I thank you for watching out for me Fieara; you are indeed a loyal and respectable horse. But I must as you one last favor," Marleina replied to her cry out to wake up. "What child?" she answered, "what is it you need?" Fieara's eyes did not look to her this time because of the task ahead, but her rider knew that she was listening intently. Ten darts flew by them, and nine darts made a clean sail off them, but a loud cry from the gentle creature beneath her was uttered with great pain. Fieara's front legs rose up into the air. Marleina could hear the real words of the horse and was in sorrow. "I was told to keep you safe child, so I will hold that promise to you and the others," she said to Marleina with a brave commanding tone. This horse was indeed worthy of great honor, as well as wise. But if she couldn't go on- Marleina would have pulled her to the side; however, it wasn't an option any longer.

Akira looked towards the rearing horse which quickly fell behind, the darts were coming faster now and Akira frowned, this wasn't going well at all and it didn't seem like they'd be getting out of this any time soon. She pulled at the mane of the horse so they'd turn around and head back for Marleina. The horse indeed did follow the command and as they neared Akira's horse slowed to a trot, "Are you okay?" she asked Marleina in a hushed tone as she looked around warily, her ears swiveling as the sun already neared the end of it's journey and the total night would begin under the command of the crescent moon and it's host of stars in the sky.
"Hello? What's going on?!" Jouta shouted as he pulled on the bars, anger shone in his eyes as flames flared from his body.
"P-please stop." Tehara said as she tentatively walked towards Jouta, "The only others who can hear you won't help, most are unable." she said as she looked out of the bars. When she had heard there'd be another kid in the large castle she was happy but not if it was going to be this way. Her mind was kept obedient and content through the curse mark to which she was honestly oblivious but she didn't like it when there was another kid who was so unhappy here, though she couldn't understand why.

Fieara's injured- by one of the darts, it must have went through her chest- her voice is weakening fast. But- I'm fine," she responded to Akira as she also told Fieara to fight it off the best she could until they were all in the clear and safe. Fieara's head bounded in a slight nod and galloped away along side Akira's horse. "I'll be fine child, worry more about Simmian then I. He needs you- and though I wanted to come with you all the way, I'm just a horse. We live and die, but we also serve our riders with pride," Fieara spoke to Marleina.
Simmian remained in a sitting position with his legs a tiny bit spread apart. "She's right, just calm down kid," he called out between the ruckus. Simmian's voice had a flat, but low calmness to it that silently told you everything was going to be alright. His blonde- gold hair hair little shine left from the ashes on his clothing, and shivvered every once and a while, "You're locked inside a room- prison like if you would call it so." "Please be alive Marleina- please," he thought as he hung his head down to the stone cold floor.

Dikan pulled on the reins of his stallion. He pulled the reins to one side as the horse spun around, facing back at Meirlina. He kicked the horse and it strode forward. When he got closer, he let go of the reins and pulled his swords from their sleeves. His horse continued to trot forward, but eventually cam to a stop a little past Akira.
He jumped in front of Meirlina, blocking some badly-aimed darts that were heading towards Meirlina, Akira, and him. The darts ricochet off his swords and spread out if different directions.

Akira nodded as her horse started running back away from the attackers again the wind whipping around them, she could barely see them and she knew that any of her long range attacks would only attract attention so she didn't use them at this time. Her feet glimmered turquoise which was bad enough, the spell had to do something so obvious. She'd have to deal with it for now though. 'They can't have too much range so that would make them nearby... now we just have to change that.' she thought to herself, she hoped everyone would follow since Darius obviously wanted to take this enemy on by himself which would allow the rest of them to get some headway in the journey.
"Why would I be locked up?" Jouta said, his voice already calmer, just confused now. He sat down on the floor, his dark red hair tangled as it had been this entire time and would probably do some good with a brushing.
"You'll be okay, Lord Aroroth just wants to keep you down here for your own safety." Tehara said with a smile. Her mind wasn't tainted by the curse she was just naive.

Reggetar saw that there were darts being shot down below. He cursed under his breath and Zephyr angled herself higher. One may be wondering why the pair were being so useless, but (and they would never admit it) but Zephyr couldn’t breath fire. Well she would be able but lets just say she had a rough start and still hadn’t learned to. So she could be considered useless. He would give every one down below a ride but Zephyr couldn’t lift everyone… ((Wow… A lot of things are piling up to show that Zephyr is useless…))
