It was a fairly windy night, and a dark one at that. There was no moon tonight, the main source of light being a large lighthouse that had just recently been noticed by most of the students. Its light washed over the land, providing a momentary glimpse of a shadowy figure, but by the next pass it was gone.
"Why are we here, again?" "I told you, it's calm here." "And since when does calmness matter to you?" "It helps me think clearly." "When you think clearly, you end up going crazy." "Rather ironic, don't you think?"
Damon stepped forward to watch the water, Berstunic's dark figure resting on his shoulder, as always. He was feeling particularly... bored.

As the light passed over the ground, all seemed quiet except for the stir of wind. On it's second passing, a shadowy figure stood staring up at the Lighthouse. A third pass showed the figure facing Damon, and on the fourth pass, the figure was gone as though never existing. Dimor traveled silently as always, making his way toward Damon while constantly throwing heated glares up toward the Lighthouse. He stopped right by the structure's wall, where the light wouldn't reach but he could still clearly see Damon. Like always, Dimor didn't say a word or make a sound. His fingers twitched irritably each time the stream of light passed just in front of him, but the reasons behind this didn't seem terribly important.

"Hello there," Damon's voice said from just behind Dimor, though he was clearly still standing in his spot overlooking the water. "I certainly hope you didn't intend to sneak up on me. Might I ask what it is you wanted?" As always, Damon's voice sounded as though it was being filtered through an extremely clear walkie-talkie. "I can't help but notice you're sticking to the shadows rather tightly."

Dimor appeared unfazed by the closeness of Damon's voice; it was hard to surprise him to any degree. Hm... what did he want? Well... he had originally come this way to destroy the infernal Lighthouse, but then saw Damon and deviated from the intended path. Instead of a straight answer, which Dimor hardly ever felt like giving, he responded with a 'question' of his own, as rhetorical as it may be. "Why not stay in the shadows where I'm the strongest." There probably should be a question mark there but... it's Dimor, he doesn't need them. The Drow's shadow, no matter where the light passed, remained in one place, darker than your average shadow and with a chilling liveliness to it.

"Staying in your comfort zone only shows weakness and fear," he said, now turning to face him. (Though his voice's location stayed the same.) "If you claim to be the master of video games, yet refuse to play any game but Pac-Man, people are obviously going to have their doubts. Not that you're claiming to be a master of anything whatsoever." He held out a hand, a ball of electricity forming with such brightness, especially when one's eyes were adjusted to the dark, that it lit up most of the surrounding area.

One arm was raised to move protectively in front of Dimor's white eyes, though they didn't blink, merely narrowed slightly at the light. Wow... Damon was a tad disrespectful... Dimor's voice carried a higher degree of harshness than usual; he was annoyed, what else would you expect? "Watch yourself, child." The shadow on the ground stirred even more, dark tendrils lashing out and recoiling rapidly. "There is a large difference between weakness and intelligence." The logic fit; if shadows equaled power, that's where Dimor should be.

Damon laughed, his voice now actually coming from his body. "True. I'm glad you know your limitations. You'd do well to keep safe within your boundaries." He let the ball fade, allowing darkness to return. "Nice eyeliner, by the way." He tossed Berstunic a glance, and the two exchanged looks of suppressed laughter.

Dimor's fists clenched; loosely, if 'clenched' could be considered 'loose' to any degree. "I have no boundaries." With no visible movement, the Drow activated his achieved Elemental powers. Something flashed momentarily near his right hand, and not even seconds later, sharp spikes of earth shot up in a ring around Damon, their points aimed straight for his body. A dark blade formed from shadows in his left hand while he watched, eyes sharp and hard.

In the very same instant, a ring of what looked like dark purple stone formed at each point where the earth came at him, acting as a sort of body armor. "Nice try, but even if I wasn't able to do that, it's nothing I couldn't get out of." In a puff of smoke he appeared just outside the spikes, laughing slightly. "You shouldn't let me manipulate you so easily, Dimor. It's dangerous." A wire of purple plasma volted from his arm, popping once it made a high arc above him. "If you want to make some sort of impression, you need to be aware."

If he wanted... to make an impression? Dimor never tried to "impress" anybody. Ever. And nobody ever manipulated him. Ever. Damon's ignorance was seen as a tragic flaw in Dimor's ever chilling eyes; the boy was lucky to have made a decent first impression on the Drow. 'The child is overconfident in himself... how distasteful' Without physically moving, Dimor's shadow slithered and weaved across the ground- spreading into thin tendrils that would near invisible, especially in the dark- and headed toward Damon's shadow. This tactic was sometimes slow to have the best affect, but it was near-unavoidable; as long as Damon had a shadow, Dimor could get him.

Damon's eyes traveled downwards, as if he had advanced warning of the shadows, and he snickered. "Do whatever you like. I won't move. You won't hurt me." He took on a serious face and waited for whatever Dimor intended to do. He spread his arms out, as if to make himself vulnerable. "If you don't believe me, try and see for yourself. I'll be more than happy to make you understand how outmatched you are."

((How he see that?? D:))
Did Dimor ever say anything about the tactic being intended to cause injury or pain? It could, but he would have done it a different way. No, once his demonic-like shadow spread into Damon's, it would simply give him more information; like a book that only Dimor could read. The dark tendrils made a striking motion, like snakes, and spread into Damon's now darkened shadow. "No, I won't hurt you. Not yet."

((Not tellin'. xP)) If Dimor poked around, he would find that both Damon's mind and soul were locked away, safely protected by forces unknown - at least, unknown to Dimor. "For a weakling like you, you certainly are confident. Perhaps you rely more on intelligent thought and tactics rather than strength. Unfortunately for you, I've got both." He grinned. "I am very close to being able to enter shadows as well, my friend, so don't rely on that to save you."

If Dimor were, well, not Dimor, he probably would have rolled his eyes. But, since he was in fact who he was, he had no visible reaction to Damon's comments. If Damon thought he were intimidating in any way, he was certainly wrong in this case. Only Lloth herself would intimidate Dimor to any degree. The stream of light from the tall building just behind him cast its bright rays down onto the scene. In a way, despite how much he despised the infernal structure, it's light helped him. More light equaled longer, darker, more defined shadows; more play room, shall we say. Fingers twitching slightly, the shadows just around Dimor's feet, in the area where he stood, seemed to rise and ignite with a black fire. "I won't need saving."

Damon started to speak, but something about Berstunic must have caught his attention. He looked down at his hand, then toward Dimor's. After a moment, he managed a chuckle. "So... you have two of the Rings of Lloth, do you? I'm curious as to where you found them," he said, holding up a hand to reveal the Ring of Wind on his finger. "I stumbled across two in a cave, though only one was for me."
