Rei smiled and chuckled quickly as she ran her fingers through her hair. "Oh, thank you. And you're welcome." A quick glance at Rhyme's hand told Rei that- big surprise- he wasn't going to bleed to death. She was also glad that Rhyme wasn't hampered by the injury and still wanted to train. A short nod gave away Rei's anticipated excitement.
Rei stretched one arm behind her and sighed as she felt the muscles in her shoulder stretch satisfyingly. "Ready whenever." Her sky blue eyes went from Rhyme's, to the tree with the knot in it. That knot wasn't in for the best day of its life....

Rhyme nodded as he took two more kunai from his sleeves, and put them between his fingers, getting ready to thrown. Then, lifting his arm behind his head, he threw his arm forward and flicked his wrist, sending the three kunai toward the tree.
They hit with three ‘klunks.’ One hit right on the knot, the others hit above and below in the line. It wasn’t really skill, just luck that they hit, but that was what his ribbons where for.
He then passed three of his kunai to Rei, so she would have something to try with as he gave his fingers a twitch and the kunai came back. This time though he was smart and caught them between his fingers, so he wouldn't get his with the blade again.

Rei watched Rhyme's three kunai whiz toward the tree and the sink into the wood. "Wow." she said in natural response to hitting so close to the target. It took her a minute to figure out why no more kunai were flying toward the trunk, but when Rei look at Rhyme she realized he was handing her some kunai. "Oh, thanks." She took them and allowed herself a moment or two to just hold one and get a feel for its weight and shape. Smirking slightly, satisfied, Rei very quickly spun and whipped her arm out and throwing all three at once, watching as the kunai streaked toward the tree.
Well, they all hit wood at least. The first hit down and right from the knot. The second to the left of it, and the third created a spark and clash as it hit right next to the second. 'Well, at least I hit the tree' Rei thought to herself. "They're very quickly distributed." she inferred aloud, almost as if to no one in particular.

“That was really good, you got closer then I did.” he said, pulling with his other hand getting the kunai back into his left hand.
When he caught the kunai with his left hand, he caught them a bit weird, didn’t cut badly, just a few small nicks only a bit bigger then a paper cut on his fingers.
Grinning, he turned himself around, and focusing on one of the kunai in his hand, he threw it toward the other side of the clearing. He held his arm out straight, keeping that way, after a few yard, they could start to see the line stretch, go taunt, then come flying back.
Rhyme stepped to the side and let it go by, it hit the tree, but only barely. Laughing, Rhyme shrugged his shoulder. Not even close, but he was having a lot more fun they just by himself.

Rei shrugged almost uncomfortably; compliments didn't come her way often, and that had been the second one within the timespan of a few minutes. "It was just luck, really..." Rei watched Rhyme throw the kunai in the opposite direction and gave him a confused look before she saw come flying back. She gasped when it looked like it would hit him, but then grinned brightly when she saw what he had done. Her own warm laughter joined with Rhyme's. "Clever." Rei had noticed the small nicks, but forced herself to take them as nothing more than that; small nicks that would heal by tomorrow, most likely. "Look out," she said teasingly. "If you cut off your hand there's nothing to use as a tourniquet."

“Well, its almost impossible to practice with sharp objects without getting some cuts, and hey, we got plenty of White Mages and Priests around here who could probably put my hand back.” he said, giving her a sly grin.
Rhyme then began to shake his arms toward the ground and a large amount of stuff began to fall out of the sleeves, there were the rest of his kunai, his baton, and his little puppet. There were also some small snacks and drinks, as well as some random pencils and pens.
“There we go.” he said, shaking his arms from the lightness that he got from having all that junk out of his sleeves. “Much better, I can actually move my arms now.”

Rei laughed slightly. "True." She then watched- just a tad bit awestruck- at the numerous items basically raining down from Rhyme's sleeves. After staring at them for a moment, she gave Rhyme a... look. "How do you... move at all with those things up your sleeves?" she asked incredulously. It would be hard enough for Rei to move with knives up her sleeves, not to mention a baton. Well... Rei doesn't have sleeves, but that's not the point.
Rei chuckled. "Alright then, I suppose I've seen stranger things... somewhere." She now watched Rhyme with more interest. 'Now how well can he do without all that stuff to weight him down?'

Rhyme chuckled at the expression on Rei’s face.
“Most people couldn’t, this was one of the decent things me father ever gave me. The sleeves are enchanted to hold much more then they normally would, though they still have weight.” he said, talking about his father with much spit in his voice.
Then, taking a kunai, he whipped it at the tree. It went so quickly that it was almost impossible to see. It hit with a large clunking sound as many of the birds around flew from the pitches in freight of the sound. The Kunai missed completely hitting really high, but it imbedded itself 3/4’s of the way into the wood.

The way Rhyme spoke of his father made Rei subconsciously wrap her arms around her abdomen. Hate was a feeling she was well acquainted with. Her smile threatened to fade, but she wouldn't let it, so it dwindled down to a simple ghost. "I see..." was all she could say. Just as she was close to forcing her arms to undo themselves again, Rhyme threw the kunai. The sudden movement received a gasp from Rei and she tensed up again. But she now found she could smile and laughed at her... flinchy-ness.
"Wow..." she breathed, light blue eyes locked onto the kunai. The jokingly she said "Good luck pulling that one out." Rei felt bad for the tree.

Rhyme shrugged grinning again, forgetting about his father.
“I’ll just grab it before he leave. Your turn though.” he said, being random again.
He did a flip, going into a handstand, walking on his hands. He then grabbed one of the kunai on the ground and craning his neck to see, he tossed it up to her. He then did a flip again, landing on his feet, but the grass was a bit wet so he slipped, landing on his ass.
Rhyme laughed for no reason, letting all the tension leave his body.
(This is what you get when your mother was a hippie, and your father a suit)

Rei caught the kunai and smiled, watching Rhyme curiously. She gasped when he slipped but immediately joined with his laughter. Taking a moment, she replayed the same move as before- a rapid spin- and whipped the kunai toward the tree. There was a soft 'thud' as the blade cut through the wood partially; it hit just below the knot. 'Funny how I wasn't even aiming...' Chance was a funny thing.
Turning back to Rhyme not seconds later, Rei offered her hand down to him, smiling. She was only now realizing that the grass actually was slippery, and now hoped that she herself wouldn't slip. 'Knowing my luck, I will' "First day with new legs?" she teased, good-naturedly.

Rhyme grinned as he continued to laugh slightly as he grabbed her arm and pulled himself up. Luckily neither of them fell, though they both continued to laugh for a bit.
Rhyme whipped the sweat from his forehead with his sleeve. He was getting a bit warm from the dance he did before and from the working of his arms. He took off his leather coat, reveling a short sleeved black Panic! At the Disco T-shirt.
“Let me try something like that.” he said, referring to her spin.
He took a kunai and did a flip in the area, in the middle of his flip forward he let the kunai go. He totally misjudged his time though, and the kunai went flying straight up into the air.
“Crap! Heads up!” he called as he landed crouching on his feet.

((*is listening to I'm the New Cancer*))
Rei watched almost mindlessly as the kunai went high into the air... and higher... and higher... "Wow..." She just... stood there... staring as the blade shrunk, and then suddenly began to become larger again. 'Odd... spinning really does give it that extra speed...' With delayed reaction, her mind registered that the kunai would, in fact, inflict pain upon her if it were to land on her... or in her, would be more appropriate.
Gasping, Rei backpedaled and folded her arms protectively over her head. There was a thud a moment later and Rei opened her eyes to see the kunai embedded into the ground- point down- almost exactly where she was standing before. She laughed once, nervously, before bending down and pulling the blade from the ground. She offered it back to Rhyme. "Going to try again?"

((-gives her top hat, coat, and cane- And the proper name is...-takes deep breath- I Know These Tables are Numbered Honey, You Just Haven’t Figured it Out Yet))
“Hmm...yea, but this time, no spin.” he said, laughing slightly at how badly it went.
If his mother would have saw him now, she would have been happy for him, since he was finally opening, his father would have scowled and called him a little kid, even though he ‘was’ a kid.
He took the kunai and threw it at the tree, trying to aim this time. He was getting better and the kunai struck home, hitting the knot dead on.
“Sweet!”

((Oh... hey! I knew that! w00t @w@))
Rei smiled and watched Rhyme's "second attempt", shall we say.Her own excitement was visible even though she hadn't been the one to hit it... not yet at least. "That was great!" She gave Rhyme a bright grin. And to think that he had only really started to practice today. Still perky with excitement...wow, Rei and perky in the same sentence... Rei picked up another of the kunai from the ground; two of them, actually.
"My turn." New ideas raced through her mind, and they were clearly visible in her eyes. They narrowed onto the knot in the tree as she wrapped her arms around her shoulders as though hugging herself, the kunai now behind her. 'Now let's aim this time, eh, Rei?'
With one smooth, fluid movement, Rei unfolded her arms and flung both blades at once. Only one went in a straight line, but the other was too far off. The first hit the very edge of the knot, toward the right because it had come from her right hand. And the second hit to the left of it; not quite touching the knot just yet, but close enough. Now her excitement was for herself. "I'll catch up to you soon enough." she said, chuckling lightly.
