Rhyme walked into the center of a small clearing, where luckily he found a half dead tree still standing up in the ground. He took a small walk around the clearing, checking for any ‘people’ after the last incident with Brandon. Though if the kid came again he would really get it since he had a much for violent song then last time.
He let out a held breather slowly as he reached each hand into his sleeves and pulled out the ten kunai, putting each one around his fingers. Then, with a small nod to himself he let the song begin.
Everybody’s got their problems Everybody says the same things to you Its just a matter how you solve them And knowing how to change the things you've been through
He stood their, collecting his thoughts, his first move didn’t start until the first chorus. So he would wait, going over what he would do later in the song.
I fear Ive come to realize How fast life can be compromised Stand back to see whats going on I cant believe this happened to you, this happened to you
Its just a problem that were faced with Am I not the only one that hates to standby Complications headed first in this line With all these pictures running through my mind
Knowing endless consequences I feel so useless in this Cant patch that back dance for me, I cant believe
With the last group of lyrics, he through the kunai at the large tree, most of them hitting, though some fell short, and some missed around the sides, but then when it said “dance for me” he pulled his hands back hard, and the kunai jerked from the tree and ground and started to come back to Rhyme.
At that point, anyone else could see the ribbons, invisible until he gave them the yank.

A winged creature circled above the light forest, idly swerving and swooping into the trees. It's dragon-like wings flapped lazily and a tail like that of a rat's streamed out behind it. But this was no creature. This was Rei. For once in a long time, she had felt utterly comfortable with herself and her abilities; a large thanks owed to Estrik. Morphing no longer held that fear of going too far; perhaps a small prickle of awareness, but nothing to stress her out. She had decided to tour the school from above, which made travel much easier. It was only by chance that she had flown over the small clearing just when Rhyme executed his attack. Smiling, red eyes alight with curiosity, the girl dove downward into the trees and resumed her normal self.
Rei walked into the clearing, hoping not to startle Rhyme and make him direct an attack at her. "Hello, Rhyme." she called out carefully, wanting to be sure he was aware of her presence.

Part of me, wont agree Cause I dont know if its for sure Sunnenly, suddenly I dont feel so insecure Anymore
Rhyme spun on his heels when he heard a females voice behind him, the force of the spin, pulling the ribbons taunt, making the kunai pull in a wide arc toward Rei. When he saw who it was, his eyes went wide and he shot his hands up quickly, making the kunai arc upward over her head, coming very close though, some even cut a small amount of hair off her head from the gust of wind the earlier ones caused.
He kept the spin up though, and it took him a full 360 degrees. Focusing on the dead tree again, he threw his hands forward and down, moving his hands quickly all around, his fingers moving even more quickly, since each one was connected by a ribbon to a kunai.
Everybody’s got their problems Everybody says the same things to you Its just a matter how you solve them What else are we supposed to do
Between the verses he lifted his kunai up and put them together, forming the shield in the air, he was surprised to see the kunai’s sharp edges on the outside edges, leaving them sharp. Get the idea, he spun again, this time making the shield go much higher, and then, when he reached a full rotation, the shield spun around, cutting a good amount of the tree off, leaving only a stump. The shield went through so quickly though, the cut part didn’t move.
Part of me, wont agree Cause I dont know if its for sure Sunnenly, suddenly I dont feel so insecure Anymore
Part of me, wont agree Cause I dont know if its for sure Sunnenly, suddenly I dont feel so insecure Anymore
Then, with the fast paced chorus again, the shield broke apart into the ten kunai, and he began to carve into the piece of wood. Slowly, a outline of a women began to appear. She was around the age of 40, and she had a sweet motherly smile on her face. Israfel would have known right away who the person was if he was there, since he was the only person at the school to see her, it was his mother.
With the carving done, he snapped his wrists backward, sending the ten kunai back at him, going safely into the sleeves of his coat. Turning one last time, he give a grin to Rei.
“You like it?” he asked her, referring to both the song, and the carving.

Rei tensed and froze when the kunai came whizzing at her, but didn't have time to react. Taking in a sharp breath, she felt the blades skim by her and saw small threads of her auburn hair flutter to the ground. Heart racing, Rei watched in awe as the kunai spun and twirled in time with the song, slicing into the tree effortlessly. When the song ended, Rei realized she was still holding her breath. It was released in one long swoosh and she smiled, still recovering from the slight shock. "That was..." she began thoughtfully. "...amazing. Where'd you learn to do that?" Forgetting how close she had come to losing an ear, Rei walked a tad closer to Rhyme; a more conversational distance. She could now also view the sculpture more closely. 'Wow...' "It's beautiful." Rei mumbled, almost to herself as remnants of the music drifted through her.

“I am not really sure how I learned to do that, I guess it was just my interpretation of the song. I just trusted my mind and body to the song, gave it some focus, and let it do its thing. I did come up with the idea when I had to fight off a crazy student, my power is mostly defensive, so I decided to try and make a really offensive one.”
Rhyme flexed his hand and fingers, trying to ease the tenseness out of the, since all the movement put a lot of strain on his hands. He frowned slightly when he saw that he nicked some of her hair.
“Sorry for the hair cut, after my last training session got interrupted, I was a bit on edge.”
Remembering his sculpture, he stepped to the side, gesturing with his arm.
“I would like you to meet my mother.” he said as he gave her a better view of it.

Light laughter escaped Rei's throat as she tugged gently on the slightly shortened section of hair. "Don't worry about it, I like it short anyway." Rei smiled and continued to scrutinize the wood carving. 'His mother...' Unknowingly, Rei had been walking forward until she was close enough to place a light hand on the wood. It had a rough smoothness to it, and almost felt warm from the friction of the kunai. "Wow..." she mumbled again. "She's beautiful." Rei politely corrected her earlier reference. If she had to create an idea of a motherly-figure, this was probably closer than she could've come up with.
Snapping from her awe-induced trance, Rei spun to face Rhyme again, slight humor lining her soft tone. "You had to fight off a crazy student?" The thoughts and mental images that followed received good-natured, gentle laughter.

“Thanks...” he said softly as he cast his gaze back upon his mother, bringing back both good and bad memories of his home.
He remembered how his mother would always sing around the house, especially when she would cook and bake cookies, cakes, and other sweet treats. The house would always be filled with song and happiness when she was there.
Then, in contrast, he remembered his father, cold and harsh, dragging him away from the singing of his mother into the dark, dank, cold basement where all of his books were kept. There he was drilled in mage’ly knowledge, and drilled in magic, which he could not do, no matter how hard he tried.
Shaking his head quickly to gain his mind back, he answered her question, “I think his name is Braden or something like that, he came out of the blew with some horrible green ogre like things, one attacked me with a weed whacker, while a group of others created a giant cardboard dragon, which I torched with some fire I gained from Rain and I’s connection. After that though he started to freak out since I almost touched him as well, even though I had my staff connected with the same strings as my kunai.”

Rei took not of Rhyme's unfocused eyes and could tell he was lost in the past. She remained politely quiet until he decided to come back, and then she acted as if it had never happened. During the story of Braden- or whatever his name was- Rei did her best to hold a straight face, but found it quite difficult to do so. Suppressed giggles squeezed themselves out of her, but she quickly got them under control. "Cardboard? Sounds... frightening."
Relishing in her rarely experienced relaxed state of mind, Rei stretched her arms upward and listened as her spine 'readjusted' itself. Today, she really didn't care who saw the Mark clearly visible on her abdomen. So what. Who cares. And even if she did, it's not as though Rhyme didn't already know what it meant or could do. "So," she started, casually. "How come no one's here with you? Like Estrik or Rain, to help you train?" And as always, Rei just let her curiosity take over.

((Jackie I think is gone....so I think we should right her and Rhyme apart))
“Well, pretty much since this is my first time really trying it out, I didn’t know what all would happen, so I wanted to at least get a small grasp of it again. And to be honest, Rain and I seem to be drifting apart more and more. I find it harder and harder to feel her mind connected with mine, and when I needed her help, I had to try really hard to get in. I truthfully don’t think I would have if I wasn’t in the middle of a song.”
Born from the randomness, only seen in bards, he spun around grabbing her by the hand and pulling her in a spin.
“Do you want to help out then? I need more work with my aim anyway, since what uses is having these if I can’t use them unless in that one song.”

((Awe, that's too bad))
Face's expression became one of sympathy for Rhyme. She had seen how close he and Rain were, it didn't seem like it would be possible for them to drift apart. "I'm sorry." she murmured apologetically before gasping quietly in surprise. Taking only a second to register why the world was spinning, another smile broke loose, accompanied by laughter. "Sure, I'd be glad to help!" Rei said happily as she recovered from the sudden jostle. "I'll do whatever I can, just tell me."

“Well, would you know how to throw a kunai? I pretty much just wing it, I throw so many that I can guess that at least one will hit.” he said, taking one out of his sleeve.
Looking toward another tree across the clearing, he would one with a good sized knot in it. Taking his kunai, he threw it, it whizzed through the air, and hit the tree with a loud clunking sound. It totally missed the knot though, being a good distance off the mark.
“You see, I can barely hit anything with them.”

Rei observed carefully as Rhyme threw the kunai. She'd had plenty of training- not always willingly- back in the Forgotten Catacombs; she had been a weapon after all. She's thrown spears and axes, every now and then, so a kunai shouldn't be too difficult to manage. "Yeah, I think I can, actually." Rei stated, thoughtfully. "But no better than you can." she finished with a smile. Humorous mental images of Rhyme just 'winging it' flashed through her mind but she held back the laughter. Why on earth was she so... relaxed today? Who knows.

Rhyme shrugged as he held out his one middle finger on his right hand and give it a flex, pulling the string tight which connected to the kunai. Normally he would keep the strings very small and stretchy, so they would not get in the way, but when need be they could become stronger and almost impossible to break.
When the kunai came back though, it spun around and when he grabbed it, it cut into his hand, leaving a good quarter inch deep gash in his hand across it. The crimson blood dripped onto the green grass as he hissed in pain. The cut would heal alright, it just currently hurt a lot.
“This is why I need practise.” he said, through the pain.

Rei gasped and a hand was brought up to slightly cover her open mouth; natural reaction. Her sky blue eyes gave away her concern. "Are you alright?" Rei stood there, unsure of how to help, and watched the occasional, small blood droplet fall to the grass below. 'That does look painful' As though it would help at all, Rei looked around the small clearing frantically, as any worried 'what-am-I-supposed-to-do' person would do.
"Erm... oh! Here." Relief washed over Rei as she reached up and tugged at the black ribbon that was currently holding back what it could of her short auburn hair. A second tug freed it from its knot and her hair was now loose and ready to annoy Rei whenever she was trying to concentrate. The black ribbon was offered to Rhyme, as a small, anxious smile crept onto Rei's expression. "Wrap it with this, to stop the bleeding at least." Funny though, wasn't Rei able to put together that Rhyme could easily create ribbons of his own?

“Thanks.” he said, gritting his teeth as he took the ribbon.
He took the ribbon and began to wrap it again and again around his hand, before taking it in his teeth to pull it tight and to tied it off. With the ribbon tied the bleeding stopped, though the fabric got slightly darker from the blood soaking into it.
“Remind me to get you a new ribbon when we get back to the school...wait, you should really wear your hair down more, it looks really nice.” he said, meaning it truthfully and as a friend.
“Now, lets try this again,” he said, giving her a somewhat evil looking smile, not thrown off his training from being hurt.
