“Wow, that is really good” he said as he saw both go in. “Could you step back a bit while a try a secondary attack to my first throw?”
When he saw she moved back enough, he let out his ribbons to all the kunai, and yanked back, letting them come lose into the air. This time though, instead of just pulling them back to himself, he began to hum to himself, a gentle waltz like tune, he slowly moved his arms back and forth, and his kunai moved through the air in random patterns. He moved in slow circles, as if dancing with nobody, and then he gave a quick jerking spin and launching the kunai at the tree.
All the kunai hit the trees, some hit the one he wanted, the others hit the ones just behind to the sides. Even though they all hit they didn’t all stay in the wood, a few of them falling out.
“My Mother would be proud, she always said “If you must attack somebody, at least make it look good.’” he said as he came out of the musical rush.

Rei nodded, backed up, and then listened to the music. The patterns the kunais made in the air as she watched, combined with the tune, sent Rei into a reverie-like state; as if in a hazy daydream. The sound of metal hitting wood knocked Rei from her thoughts and she smiled warmly at Rhyme and the mention of his mother. "I don't blame her. That was very... beautiful." That was the only word Rei could think of.
Her sky blue eyes went from Rhyme to pinpointing each different kunai on the various trees. "That could really be useful against a group." she thought aloud, quietly. Her bright smile went back to Rhyme. "Good job."

“Thanks, my only real problem now is trying to split my focus more. That way I can get the edge on my opponent. If I can split my mind a lot, I can keep the kunai moving all around them, and when they fight them off, I can get a ribbon to start to bind them, so they can’t move, but right now I would have to take my focus from the kunai, and that would be noticeable. Got any ideas on how to do that?” he said, as he pulled the kunai from the trees with the ribbons.
He pulled the kunai and angled them so they would hit the ground and stick, so that he wouldn’t have any more incidents with them sticking in his hands.

"Hmm..." Rei deliberated for a few moments. That question should have been easy, seeing as that's all Rei ever had to do was split her focus. Not so much anymore, but she use to live her life with part of her concentrating on keeping the Shinigami contained, and the other half focusing on the world around her. Eventually that focus just came naturally. "Well..." she started, still not clear with her own answer. "I'm not sure if this would work but, can you control all ten kunai with one hand? And then, with practice, you'd have the other hand to do... whatever it is you wanted to do..." 'He could move both hands as though controlling the kunai, but he'd actually be using one for ribbons...'
Rei had more cons than pros for her idea, but she didn't really know what Rhyme was capable of, and what he wasn't capable of. The only other thing she could think of doing that might help was... Her eyes drifted to the sleek blades embedded safely into the ground. "Or..." Rei brought her gaze back to Rhyme's eyes, smiling gently. "... you could always practice on someone who wouldn't try to kill you if the attack failed..."
((Okay, because I didn't want to waste time, I just posted that suggestion in case that's what you wanted. I'm not sure if you wanted to do this yet because someone wouldn't visit the CBox and answer meh xP))

Rhyme considered for a moment and nodded, more to himself then to Rei, using one hand for the kunai could work very well, he just had to figure out how to stop them from moving in pairs. Well, he could always try to attach on to his fingertips, like he does now, and then attach a second set to his second knuckle joint in the middle of his finger, that could give him the control he needs to get it to work.
“I could try using one hand”
Wiggling his fingers a bit he broke the ribbons coming from his right hand to put them all onto his left. With that he clenched his fist and pulled back and all the daggers moved, the ones close to him didn’t move much, but the few that they threw already came back and landed in the ground to the others.
“This could work, I could always try again with another song.” he suggested to both himself and Rei.

Rei watched with interest as Rhyme reconfigured all of the ribbons and then experimented. Wow... Rei hadn't expected her idea to work out as well as it had, even with that small movement. She listened to each 'thunk' as the rest of the blades pierced the ground. An encouraging smile crept onto her features and she nodded with light enthusiasm. "I say, you try it." What was the worst that could happen? Actually, Rei probably shouldn't think about that... Instead she thought of Rhyme's fighting style. She's only seen it in action once... or was it twice? Either way, she knows that she always loves to watch and listen to it; it was very unique. ((not the best post, sorry ))

“Okay, now, what to do, what to do. Well, I’ll do something Panic! since I am wearing their shirt.”
((Rhyme: Lights! -spot light comes down on him- Thank yoooouuuuu!))
He rubbed his fingers with his thumbs of each hand, putting some ribbons around them for cushion, then, he began to sing “London Beckons Song About Money by Machines”
Stop stalling make a name for yourself Boy you better put that pen to paper, charm your way out If you talk you better walk you better back your shit up With more than good hooks while you're all under the gun Start talking "a sensationalist" Only slightly clever to just a certain extent If you talk you better walk you better keep your mouth shut With more than good hooks while you're all under the gun
Rhyme gave his kunai a quick kick, sending them into the air, which he then began to juggle, he caught each knife as it came down with his two fingers, where the energy was, putting it back into the air. With all the knives in the air, he began to do more advanced fun stuff, such as doing back flips while they were all in the air and still keeping them moving.
At the end of the last line, with the held voice, he extended both his hands, even though one was only connected, and threw all the kunai toward the tree.

Rei nodded and stepped back so Rhyme wouldn't have to concentrate on her as well. As the song started Rei- much like the other times- simply lost that solid sense of reality. It was probably just the effect of Rhyme's unique style, sending his power into music and song and then being overly collected by Rei's own focus. She watched the kunai and Rhyme with fascination as they twirled and spun... it was like watching a dance, almost.
Rei blinked when the kunai sped toward the tree, coming back from her slightly dream-like state. A bright grin formed onto her expression. "That was great!" She breathed excitedly, only then realizing her breath had been held in anticipation. 'So then it will work' Now thoroughly excited, Rei asked "Now what?"

“I’m not done yet” he said quickly in his own voice before switching back to that of the song.
(Panic! meet the press) It's time for us to take a chance It's time for us to take a chance (Panic! meet the press) It's time for us to take a chance It's time for us...
Well we're just a wet dream for the webzines Make us it, make us hip, make us scene Or, shrug us off your shoulders Don't approve a single word that we wrote
Well we're just a wet dream for the webzines Make us it, make us hip, make us scene Or, shrug us off your shoulders Don't approve a single word that we wrote
Rhyme pulled his hands back, and began to spin, pulling the kunai in an elegant arc upward and clockwise as he moved, trimming some of the leaves from the trees as they want, making the green leaves all to the ground.
Then he began to do a normal modern a dance, with fast movements all around with his hands moving all over the place, and the kunai moving all through the intertwining branches around him. Keeping his focus on the branches, so they wouldn’t get caught, though he still moved his body around, in spinning motions and even off the ground a bit.
While, all of this was going on, Rhyme was using the movements of his free hand, to move rings of ribbons around Rei, very loosely, at the end, if it worked, he would make it visible, or ‘more’ visible, since she would be able to see it if she looked hard.

Rei nodded- looking quite serious- and immediately refrained from speaking. She was soon entrapped with the song and dizzying movements once again; curse her acute perception and sensitivity. The world seemed out of focus as Rei made no attempt to concentrate back. 'Wow... he's already really good...' she thought idly.
It was because of this trance-like state that Rei did not register the ribbons snaking around her. When her mind picked up on something, she looked down and peered at... those odd things. 'Hmm? What're-oh!' Blinking rapidly, Rei finally managed to determine what was happening. After her initial look of bewilderment saying 'When did this happen?', a knowing smirk unfolded onto her features.
Oh, Rei was focused now. But it wasn't going to help much at this point. When she tried to move her leg, she found that even that gesture was sluggish and struggled. She laughed at herself. 'Clever...'

I'm burning and I'm blacking my lungs Boy you know it feels good with fire back on your tongue If you talk you better walk you better back your shit up with more than good hooks while you're all under the gun Start talking "a sensationalist" Only slightly clever, to just a certain extent Well keep quiet! Let us sing like the doves Then decide if it's done with purpose or lack thereof
Rhyme waved his hands in the air, and the kunai froze in the open air, and began to wave back and forth in the air with Rhyme as he drifted with the music. The light from the forest shined down on the blades, casting fractured light beams of colors onto ground. The light gave a calming effect, before his next planned attack, this could be changed easily, but this one would be charged, since it fitted so well with the song.
Just for the record, The weather today is slightly sarcastic with a good chance of... Pai... Indifference or Be... Disinterest in what the critics say
With that he spun, and swept this hands downward, Rei would be able to feel the ribbons tighten slightly, but not as hard as they normally would, if he was facing someone, then, the daggers dropped quickly, surrounded with yellow energy that burned small areas of grass around where they hit. They hit nowhere near Rei though, though he could have done it very easily.

With the world in more clarity now, Rei simply waited for what she knew was to come. Since Rhyme was trying this for the first time, she didn't want to struggle too much and break his focus. She simply enjoyed the music with small movements every now and then.
Rei gasped only slightly when the ribbons tightened; it wasn't entirely unexpected, but it surprised her none-the-less. The ribbons felt odd around her, almost unreal. Rei paused to examine them for a second or two before watching calmly as the kunai came streaking downward; Rei trusted that none would even touch her. Her eyes widened slightly with interest when she was able to see how they burned the ground. "Ouch..." she mumbled out sympathetically to the grass before smiling at Rhyme. "That could have been quite... painful."

With that Rhyme let the song end, even though it could have went further. He dropped a few feet to the ground, from him rising in the air. And the ribbons around Rei faded away back into radiant energy. The kunai stopped glowing but the air smelt of burnt grass and the area continued to smoke slightly.
“Don’t worry, you were in no danger what so ever, an enemy would have been held much tighter, and the kunai would have actually been ‘aimed’ at them, not on the other side of the clearing.” he said, giving her a grin when he saw she could move again.
“I still need to train though, since what I can do ‘in’ a Songspell, is much different from what I can do out of it.” he said, speaking the truth.

Rei gave Rhyme a very meaningful look that seemed to say 'Of course I wasn't worried'. "I knew I wasn't in danger." A soft smile graced her features. Realizing that the ribbons had dissipated, Rei experimentally brought her hand up in front of her. Yep, all gone. Her soft smile turned into a bright grin and she turned her attention back to Rhyme. "I can understand that."
That would be like Rei saying 'I could do much more when I shift than when I don't.' She got what he meant. "I'll help you train, if I can."

“Hmm....do you know how to fight with a Bo Staff?” he asked.
He reached down toward the pile of stuff and grabbed his baton. Then, with a quick snap of the wrist and a toss in the air, the baton came to life, growing and becoming a long Bo Staff, almost as tall as Rhyme was.
“I found out it could do this during my fight with Brendan.” he told her when the staff was done growing.
((Please, please no jokes about that -.-))
